This beautiful 350m2 4 bedroom villa/farmhouse set in its own 5,000m2 botanical garden with private heated(optional) swimming pool in the heart of the Orotava valley (Tenerife north), is one of the most spectacular finca properties on the island. The views across its lawns and Palm grove to Mount Teide and the sea are superb. The villa is completely secluded. Enjoy the luxury of not having neighbours.There is fibre optic wifi internet connection and Satellite TV. The villa has everything necessary for a wonderful holiday, including a very popular fully equipped outside kitchen with its own terrace where you can bbq overlooking the pool. The villa is located in a unique rural setting surrounded by plantations and yet only 5 mins away from Puerto de la Cruz and La Orotava. Ideally situated as well for sightseeing. There are many historically interesting villages to visit nearby such as Garachico, Icod and La Laguna.
Pool heating option available from October to May, 95€ per week.

A small paradise

We stayed for five days and we wish it could have been longer. Such a nice house, in a quiet environment (which we needed, working on a book). Everything we needed was there, including nice weather :-). The garden is beautiful, we enjoyed the swimming pool and the singing of the birds made us very happy. And finally, Desmond is a great host. In summary: excellent! Happy to come back.

Great stay in a great villa with an enormous and beautiful garden

We just came back from a 2-week stay at this villa. And we enjoyed it a lot. Great villa, very Canarian and build with true craftmanship and eye for details. It's a renovated finca and it is situated on the slope of a hill. The road leading from the main road to the finca is a dirt road and although it may look a bit wild at first sight, it's perfectly do-able with any car. The owner, Desmond, is a gentleman and speaks fluent english and spanish (maybe even more languages). Every time we needed to get in contact with him, he responded swiftly and correctly. We enjoyed communicating with him and also with his gardener and housekeeper. The house itself is grand.... Nicely decorated with tasteful elements and nice furniture, you feel right at home when you enter. Plenty of room, beautifully built in closets in the bedrooms, great bathrooms (what a water pressure and temperature!) and a very useful and cosey kitchen and dining room. And then the garden: 5000 square meters, beuatifully and frequently maintained by the very professional gardener Gabriel, an outdoor BBQ-kichten (we bbq'ed on our first day and found the BBQ-equipment to be very good) and a very nice (heated) pool... During our first week we stayed in the house with 4 persons, but after our guests left, we still enjoyed the house with the two of us. The property is totally walled (and the walls are covered with green plants), so we also felt very secure. We enjoyed the birds that frequented the grounds and were not bothered by any rodents or insects, neither in or outside the house. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay in a great surrounding (Orotava valley). We had been in this area before, but were again impressed with the hospitality, kindness and good humour of the people living there. But then again, who wouldn't become a better person living on this side of Tenerife! We certainly hope to come back!

Fantastic place

We had a really good stay. The owner of the place was very friendly. (speaks English). We liked the house very much. Also the garden was very beautiful. The kids had a lot of fun in the swimming pool. There was also some toys for them. The outside kitchen? We want it also at home. In the garden you have a beautiful view at el Teide and the sea. The house is situated at the North of Tenerife. Can be a little bit colder than in the south, but I think it is most beautiful side of Tenerife. When we come back to Tenerife, we really come back to this place!!!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub auf Teneriffa und diese Villa hat stark dazu beigetragen. Es ist alles wie auf den Fotos. Betten sind bequem, Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die Straße zum Haus ist in der Tat abenteuerlich, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Sollte kein Hindernis sein, das Haus zu buchen. Der Pool ist ein Traum! Desmond ist immer erreichbar und erkundigt sich freundlich, ob alles zur Zufriedenheit läuft. Toller Gastgeber! Supermarkt (u.a. Lidl) schnell mit dem Auto erreichbar. Ein Mietwagen ist hier in der Tat ein Muss.Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen! Wir waren als vierköpfige Familie (Kids 14,10) und den beiden Omas dort. Alle waren begeistert!

Beautiful house !

We loved the living room and the splendid garden. This rental is really great! However we can mention a few points that may be improved. It is worth noting that this was a winter stay and that this certainly influences our opinion.One room has no heater. Two mobile heaters are available, so we used one for the room. But this left the kitchen and dinner room with only one heater, which was not powerful enough. The fixed heaters in the sleeping rooms are not very powerful, and they have no temperature regulation. The best room is the living room, which gets sun all day.The swimming pool is heated but hardly went above 24 degrees. We were told that it would be 26 degrees, and I am sure that this was the intention, as the heater was working all day. I cannot complain.The Environment is globally calm, but yes at some occasions we had traffic noise and a dog barking.A few small things : we could use some more water glasses. Light-stopping curtains would be great in the rooms. We would have preferred a second double bed.We realize that most of our comments are linked to winter, but on the other hand it is not easy to accept that your holiday house is colder than your home in the north Definitely a great place to stay !

Traumhaft

Ein wirklich traumhaftes Anwesen, super gepflegt und sauber. Es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Der Top gepflegte Garten ähnelt schon fast einem Park. Man benötigt ein Auto, da fußläufig nicht so viel zu erreichen ist. Ein gutes Restaurant ist ca.1 km entfernt, hat allerdings nur begrenzte Öffnungszeiten. Die Anfahrt ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, schmaler Weg (eine Autobreite) der ca. 700 m leicht Bergab geht und Nachts nicht beleuchtet ist. Trotz allem ein Traum !!!!
