The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The yard is an oases and every morning Marco placed fruit in the yard so we could birdwatch while drinking our cafe. What a great way to start our morning. Thank you again Marco.

We had a fantastic stay at Marco's house in La Fortuna. The house is beautiful and the yard is absolutely breath-taking. The house is close to everything in La Fortuna. Our stay was wonderful! Marco and his daughter are very responsive and kind.

Month vacation in June

My wife and I stayed from mid June to mid July. Marco and his daughter Leticia were both there to greet us upon check in and always responded via WhatsApp when we had any questions. They were both amazing hosts. They both live at the entrance of the long driveway to get to the house but you still have complete privacy. The house looked exactly like the pictures and the landscape was beautiful. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. There are small ants as someone else had mentioned on a review that hang out on the countertops so we put anything we opened in resealable bags. So do not leave any open food anywhere. The back porch/covered patio was perfect for hanging out. We spent most our mornings/evenings out there. The charcoal grill was used frequently ( was even stocked/ restocked during our time) Marco every morning would put fruit out for the birds which was our entertainment most mornings. We even had howler monkeys for the first week we were there hanging out in the nearby trees. The house is located 5 min from downtown la fortuna which has many good restaurants. I don’t recommend walking as it is a busy road and the sidewalks are minimal. The location of the house is also perfect for all the tours in the area. We had an amazing stay and would 100 recommend this home to anyone wanting to stay in the la fortuna/arenal area.

Everything I could have dreamed it would be

The house was perfect for our group. The surroundings were like a dream - the outside areas and landscaping beautiful, so many unusual birds every day. Howler monkeys and iguanas high in the trees on our 3rd and 4th days. The location felt safe and close to everything. Leticia and Marco were the best hosts - giving recommendations and helping with everything we needed.

Hidden Rain Forest Paradise

We didn’t want to leave! We loved the house! My mornings started on the porch with a cup of coffee stunned by all the beautiful birds that visited and sang. Great location! Took us no time to get to each place we were hiking or enjoying the springs. Best was after a 4 hour hike in the rain forest looking for animals and birds we were enjoying the beautiful pool and the trees became alive with howler monkeys and toucans. What a show! Leticia and her father Marco were wonderful host!! Truly a beautiful vacation in such a magical setting.

Magical place

The home was perfect for our family. Our kids loved exploring the huge yard and all the animals in it. Everything was clean and check-in was a breeze. Great location walking distance to a delicious soda and the El Salto rope swing. So glad we found this place for our first trip to La Fortuna and would definitely stay here again.

Family had a great time. Owners were very responsive and accommodating. Really had no issues, more questions how certain things worked.Location is perfect as it is near town, but secluded and quiet. Birds and monkeys in the background were special and the kids enjoyed the small wading pool. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Property in La Fortuna

Our family of six stayed here for three nights while we explored Arenal national park and enjoyed canyoning and ziplining in the La Fortuna area. The property itself was very well cared for and the host were amazing. We found ourselves enjoying just spending time outside on the covered patio and watching all of the birds and wildlife. We saw an amazing number of birds including a Gartered Trogon, Great Currasow, and Collared Aracari from the property. Howler Monkeys were a regular morning visitor to the tall trees as well. The beds were very comfortable and we had more than enough room for our family. The little ones loved the bunk beds. The plunge pool was small but fun for the younger kids to cool off while the older ones relaxed in the hammocks or on the patio. Overall an amazing stay here, highly recommended. Thank you Marco and Leticia for an amazing stay in La Fortuna, we would love to visit again if we ever make it back to Costa Rica!

Amazing stay in Fortuna!

This is an amazing property. Quiet but near enough town to walk. Everything on one level. Bathrooms in 2 of 4 bedrooms. Pool is small but was perfect to sit and hang out and perfect for kids! Host cleaned pool and put out fruit to attract birds every morning. We saw howler monkeys, toucan, And several other birds. Host incredibly helpful! We had a light switch not work and he came within 5 minutes and replaced it. Very safe neighborhood. Road to get in a bit rough but very doable. Will look forward to staying here again!

Paradise in La Fortuna

This was an amazing property! Well equipped with all the essentials. The owners were extremely responsive to our needs! Close to tons of adventures! Easy drive into town. All rooms had AC. We loved that Marco put out some fruit each morning so every day was an animal/bird show!! If you get an Emma sighting, snap a picture for us! Thank you Marco and family for a wonderful stay!!

STAY HERE! Incredible! Wonderful!

I strongly recommend this tropical hidden paradise home. The house is large, quiet (except for the ocasional monkeys) and has lots of bird in the yard (the owner puts out bananas and papayas). Make this your home base for MANY attractions in Costa Rica. Super clean, spacious, excellent host. A great place to stay in La Fortuna.

Wonderful property

Excellent host and location

The location is walkable to town, though there is traffic to consider. We did the walk several times. Hosts Marco and Letitia were excellent. Unfortunately, Letitia's phone was disabled for a day, but Marco took over. Letitia and Marco were wonderful and making arrangements for tours and giving us advice. In the early morning, Marco put fruit out for the birds enabling us to see a variety of wildlife. He alerted us to the presence of monkeys one morning and we were able to watch them from the yard. We enjoyed restaurants and a bit of local night life. We had a lovely stay. The facility is comfortable. There were six of us. The kitchen was well enough equipped to enable us to make our breakfasts and lunches. We are so appreciative.

New Years Eve in La Fortuna

Great stay at Marco’s place. He was very friendly and provided excellent communication. The birds and monkeys located around the property were amazing. Lots to do within a short drive of the property. The volcano is clearly visible by the main road. There’s also a cool rope swing nearby. Great stay!!

My favorite part of our trip!

My wife and I stayed with our adult children and had a wonderful experience! The house was clean and nicely decorated, everything you need seemed to be there. The owner places fruit in the yard and the birds are waiting for him! Absolutely beautiful! The host was so nice and kind, and helpful. Five stars plus from us!

Hidden Tropical Paradise

We had a wonderful stay at Marco’s home. He and his daughter helped us arrange a chef to come on our last night since it was pouring rain and we didn’t rent a car. Very close Uber to downtown La Fortunas restaurants and shopping. Tours picked up from the house. Even had a visit from howler monkeys in the backyard on two mornings. Would recommend to anyone wanting plenty of space and a lovely environment.

Perfect for our family!

Lovely place in great location

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at this home. We especially liked the outside area with the barbeque and hammocks and the porch. Kitchen is great for cooking. Plenty of space to relax. Owners are very attentive and care very much about you having an enjoyable stay, and the small issues we had were taken care of promptly. Excellent location for La Fortuna activities!

A little bit of Paradise

We wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful property, well maintained and the owners are close by. The back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a full view of the volcano covered deck area and a small pool to cool off in. Beds are comfortable and the house offers everything you could need. La Fortuna is a hidden gem. I have been to CR over 40 times and never made it here. Great restaurants and activities and a wonderful place to relax when the day is over. Highly recomended.

Spacious, very attractive, well equipped

And it was wonderful watching the birds which came to eat the fruit the host provided! The location is very close to downtown, grocery store, and restaurants. There’s a lot of natural wood in the interior, which was lovely. The interior was also bright with color - very warm and welcoming.

Rain Forest Paradise

This is one of our favorite stays. The house had everything we needed with comfortable beds, equipped kitchen and lots of room. The best feature is a fantastic back deck and grounds. The plants and wildlife are amazing. Very well kept. Birds of all types, and the last day some Howler Monkeys showed up nearby. They are a bit noisy, but you are in the rain forest. Friendly hosts live next door. I would suggest getting here in the daylight, as it is a little tricky to get the layout on a rainy night.
