Charming 1-Bed Cottage in The Hideout

We acquired this piece of paradise 20 yrs ago,a cabin on a lake has always been a dream for a family get away. The nature house itself is constructed of cord wood and stone exterior. With a straw plaster interior. The internal joinery is constructed from scorched douglas fir and chestnut all sourced from our woods. Roof tiles and oak flooring were reclaimed from a local demolition project. The property is totally off grid. Solar and battery powered, with a 2000 litre underground water tanks supplying all your needs. gas boiler supplies bathroom and kitchen with hot water on demand with a conventional toilet. A godin wood burner supplies heating for the cabin, wood supplied. kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker and fridge. 12 volt music system with usb and small tv . we only use eco cleaning products, shampoos and soaps which are supplied.


There is one bathroom, which has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower.


Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

- Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am.
