Chalet with stunning views in the Valley D'Abondance

  • Gekocht in 2016 bij een Frans gezin, dit is pas het tweede seizoen dat chalet beschikbaar is voor vakantieverhuur. Het chalet heeft zijn eigen drive, mooie tuin, carport, veel opbergruimte voor ski's, fietsen. Het heeft een prachtig uitzicht op de vallei d'Abondance en is een paar minuten lopen van de gratis skibus of een minder dan 5 minuten rijden naar het Panthiaz lift station. Begane grond - entree, hal met berging voor ski's; wasruimte / droogruimte met wasmachine; en slaapkamer met badkamer met douche / toilet. Trap naar de eerste verdieping - WC; zitkamer met een zeer efficiënte houtkachel, wifi en Engelse tv met dvd-speler, grote selectie dvd's en games, toegang tot balkon, aparte goed uitgeruste keuken met vaatwasser, toegang tot terras en tuin. Trap naar derde verdieping - 2 slaapkamers met kingsize bedden en veel bergruimte en deuren naar het balkon ,, 1 slaapkamer, badkamer met ligbad, douche in bad (goede druk), toilet en wastafel.

Gezellig huis voorzien van alle gemakken

Heerlijke week gehad waar we na een dag skien konden terugvallen op dit gezellige huis waar we veel lol en plezier hebben beleefd.

Zeer fijn huis

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in een zeer prettig huis. Het huis is heel goed ingericht, van alle gemakken voorzien. We hadden een probleem met het internet, maar het contact met de verhuurders was zeer goed en ze hebben hun uiterste best gedaan het op te lossen. Niets dan lof!

Très bonne expérience dans ce chalet bien aménagé et agréable.Les chambres sont grandes et pratiques, sous sol vaste pour ranger les skis etc…De plus depuis le salon il y a une très belle vue.En gros nous avons apprécié notre semaine dans ce logement.

It was a fantastic holiday in this sweet chalet! Everything was very clean, comfortable and there was everything you need. The location is also very good, beautiful view and very good to walk with dogs. But to go to Châpel for skiing, you need your car, because the buses are very unreliable.But this chalet is so lovely and we would love to come back! The host is very friendly and helpfully all the time!

1 week ski vacation for 2 families

This is a truly great chalet in a very convenient location. Everything you need will be there and in good condition. You can easily reach various starting points to enter the ski resort, the supermarket is close by, and although the main road is right below, it is a really quite place to stay. Emma, who is renting out the place, was great in communicating everything and made sure we had a good start to our vacation. I can recommend this chalet without reservation!

Wonderful warm and welcoming chalet

We travelled to Portes du Soleil with our two children, aged 5 & 6 for February half term 2025.The booking process was seamless and Emma provided just the right amount of information we needed, including recommendations for ski schools. We checked in late, which wasn’t a problem at all, and the chalet was spotlessly clean, beds made up and ready to go for the first day’s skiing. The VRBO advert doesn’t do the chalet justice - it is ideally placed for a very short drive to the main lift, SuperChatel and I dropped my family off just beneath the lift in a 15-min drop zone, then parked a little lower down the village. By the time I then got to the top of the gondola, the children had just started ski school each day and we could then have a couple of hours skiing to ourselves before carrying on skiing with the children for the rest of the day. The chalet is perfect and traditional, nicely equipped, wonderfully decorated with various paintings including panel paintings on the wardrobes and dining benches, very cosy and with the most amazing log fire which heats most of the house. The ground floor has a great space for storing and maintaining skis and drying boots, cleaning laundry etc. The balconies are great for late afternoon drinks or for the brave - al fresco breakfast!We have no hesitation in recommending Emma and her husband (and of the course the chalet) for a wonderful, peaceful, stay. Thanks so much for a great week.

Easygoing winter getaway

What a nice holiday home in a very quiet and charming area. Although it is only a few minutes’ drive to the ski lifts, you are in the middle of the Portes du Soleil area in no time. You can also opt for the often very quiet local ski areas. The chalet is a perfect base with all the facilities you could wish for. Spacious, neat and clean and a lovely south-facing balcony. March gives enough sun in the valley but I can imagine that in January the sun doesn't shine as well over the mountain. Everything works properly and communication with the owner was perfect. Very nice that we could stay here with our dogs.

Chalet with a view

We stayed for a week in this chalet during a week in January. The chalet is spacious, well equipped, and has a fantastic view from the large window in the living room. The nearby village of Chapel d'Abbondance is charming and offers various nice restaurants. The village Chatel offers also many shops and is more turistic. Directly opposite the road is a path along the river for a walk whilst enjoying nature. There are several options for skiing, depending how advanced you are. Emma, the owner of the chalet, quickly assisted us when we didn't manage to lock the door, as we hadn't understood the French way of pulling the door handle up, whilst locking the door! We had a wonderful holiday!

Heerlijke woning met alle erop en eraan wat je nodig hebt

Wij hebben deze woning een week gehuurd met 7 personen. Het is ons heel goed bevallen. Mooi huis, alle benodigde voorzieningen waren er varierend van ruim voldoende toiletpapier tot kruiden en handzeepjes bij de wastafels. Heel veel hout voor de heerlijke open haard. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep heel soepel. Het huis was ook brandschoon. Goede bedden en prima douche/bad. Echt een aanrader!

lovely and very good

we had a great holliday in this chalet. i never had a chalet thas was this clean. the rooms are good en the beds fine. the fireplace was great and the owners are more the helpfull. i could even contact them through Whatsapp. a big hypermarche (supermarket) and skilift at 2 minutes by car. a bakerie at 4 minutes by car. i just have one sugestion: a snowshovel and slede would be nice to have around for the kids. great place!

Alles bestens

Wir waren zu fünft im Haus und hatten eine wunderbare Woche. Alles war sauber und in der Küche haben wir alles nötige gefunden. Die Lage ist schön ruhig, da sich das Haus nicht an einer Hauptstrasse befindet. Wer deutschsprachiges TV sehen möchte sollte einen Fire TV Stick oder ähnliches mitbringen. Es gibt nur englischsprachige Sender.

Deux semaines de vrai repos

Le chalet est vraiment bien situé et bénéficie du soleil toute la journée… Les habitations voisines sont bien séparées : pas de vis à vis… C’est un vrai chalet savoyard confortable et avec une très jolie décoration intérieure Bref séjour réussi
