Check in was a breeze. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. Free transportation to and from Kyoto Station. The location was perfect walking distance to Hokan-Jo Temple. Going to the Onsen late at night was a perfect ending to a long walking day.

A hybrid of modern and traditional hotel located in Gion. The Kodaiji temple is visible from the hotel front and within 7 minutes of walk. Most of restaurants, train stations, and main attractions are walkable within 15-20 minutes. The room was clean and well designed to use small spaces. Housekeeping came daily and there were complimentary snacks and drinks. Overall a fantastic stay!

The staffs of the hotel was very nice and helpful. On the way to the hotel, my wife left her phone in the taxi, she was very upset and panic, the person at front desk helped us to get the phone back. I have been Kyoto three times, I would say this hotel is the best, if I come to Kyoto in future, I would stay this hotel again.

This hotel was a real gem. A very Japanese feel to it. The breakfast was out of this world and as it was buffet style it suited me perfectly with my allergies. All ingredients that could have affected me were written beside the dishes. It was a very tasty breakfast. I indulged in the tempura dinner menu and it was scrumptious and worth the price. I would definitely stay in this hotel if I went back to Japan.

This is a gorgeous hotel, and the service is utterly amazing. From arranging a pick-up for us to go to lunch, to holding our luggage while we went out on our last day, everything was accomplished with cheerful dignity. The meals were fabulous, especially the dinners. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

A very luxurious hotel with friendly, polite and helpful staff. They made you feel so welcome! The staff members welcomed us at the door and a designated person brought us into the lobby to check us in while we were sitting down. Free shuttle to and from Kyoto station is convenient. Walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera and sannenzaka stores. I will definitely return for future trips.

The hotel itself is beautiful, as are the rooms but the walls are paper thin and hearing your neighbours have conversations isn’t ideal Breakfast was nothing short of terrible, five days of the same dishes on repeat. The western options were bland, the coffee undrinkable and fruit juices like a cordial. Somewhere they must lift up their game.

This is a great hotel. Our room was lovely and well appointed. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The shuttle bus was really handy. The dining room is a little small which made breakfast a little crowded. Close to the temples and the heart of Gion. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely property and staff very attentive. The location is also perfect as is close to shrine and temple and Gion. Wholly walkable. The only miss was that the hotel did not communicate the fact that they provided a shuttle bus to the property from Kyoto station before we arrived so we spent 2600 yen for a taxi to get to the hotel for check in, big miss!

Very Good Hotel with Professional staff
It was the third time I stayed in this hotel. It is very close to the famous tourist spots in Kyoto (within 10 to 15 mins). The parking area is quite big when compared with other hotels. The superior room is spacious. We spent relaxed time in the lounge and public bath. All facilities were well-maintained, just looked like a brand new hotel. The above were the main reasons why I stayed here again. During our three nights' stay, we met a female staff called Tsai who was very sincere and smart. She spoke fluent English and offered different assistance to us at the front desk and parking area on several occasions. Her performance was outstanding among all hotel staff we met during our stay of two weeks in Japan.

The hotel is perfect for family we stay on junior higashiyama suite it’s one of the most comfortable and modern decorating in japanese style.
