Two Bedroom, Two Bathroom Ocean Dunes Condo

“Fair Winds” is a coastal retreat located in the ocean dunes condo complex. This gracious, top floor end unit is a light-filled, oceanfront condo with beautiful ocean views from the living room, kitchen, primary bedroom and oversized deck. The unit is ideally located, with beach access directly in front of the building and the Recreation Center located just across the street. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit is located on the second level and does require stairs to access the unit.

As you enter the property, the fully renovated, open concept kitchen, dining, and living area pull your gaze out the sliders to the ocean blue. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and all of the essential items needed to prepare a meal. The teal backsplash creates a pop of color against the clean, white look of the cabinets and marble countertops. Tucked into a nook in the kitchen, you will find a new full-size washer and dryer. From the kitchen, you flow into the dining room. The light, coastal wood style table can seat six guests. Easy care flooring spans throughout the main living area and continues into the kitchen. A sleeper sofa (with a new mattress as of March 2024) faces the beautifully tiled electric fireplace in this nautically styled space. From the living room, you have access to the oceanside deck which houses another dining area.

The primary bedroom is fitted with a King bed, a smart TV, and full ocean views through the sliders leading to the deck. An ensuite is attached with a single vanity and shower/ tub combo. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, smart TV, and access to the hall bathroom. The hall bathroom has a single vanity and shower/ tub combo. Between the two bedrooms is a storage closet and wet bar.

Ocean Dunes is an ideal year-round vacation spot for families! Located at the southern end of Pleasure Island, in Kure Beach next to Historic Fort Fisher, Ocean Dunes occupies one mile of beachfront with several private beach walkways. Included with your reservation is access to all the amenities Ocean Dunes offers, as well as the Recreation Center. Amenities include three outdoor pools, a children's playground, tennis courts, a basketball court and cornhole. The Recreation Center has an indoor pool, whirlpool/spa, gym, saunas, and showers.

This location provides the best of both worlds with the beauty and serenity of Kure Beach and the Fort Fisher area which provides plenty of hiking and biking trails plus you’ll also have easy access to plenty of family fun activities such as the NC Aquarium and the Boardwalk in Carolina Beach with fireworks on Thursday nights. You have great options for dining out at some of our outstanding restaurants in both Kure Beach and Carolina Beach and, of course, enjoy the famous Britt's Doughnuts anytime. There is also a local farmers market at the Carolina Beach lake each Saturday morning, and outdoor movies on Sunday evenings. You'll never be bored on Pleasure Island.

*Please keep in mind that if you are renting a property with a pool during the off-season, it may not be open or available. Pools are usually open from mid- May to September, but dates can vary based on weather, permits, HOA guidelines, inspections, improvements, and unforeseen events. Cancellation Policy: Full refund within 24 hours of booking, cancellations at 31+ days before check-in will receive a full refund after a $350 cancellation fee is deducted, cancellations at 15-30 days before check-in will receive a 50% refund of monies paid less a $350 cancellation fee and less than 15 days prior to arrival is not subject to a refund.  All policies are subject to possible additional refund based on re-rental, excluding non-refundable cancellation fees and travel insurance (if applicable).
