'Newly refurbished hotel with lovely views out to sea. Some of the staff were friendly and very helpful, some slightly blunt and borderline rude. Food in the hotel was good, and the bar down on the beach good too. Beach area was very crowded with sun loungers packed in to the max (but this is pretty common across Sarande). 'Was thinking about writing a bad review so people wouldn't come here. But the truth is that it's a wonderful hotel, in a great spot with lovely staff. Even air condition was quiet and efficient. Hotel felt well kept and very well built. Comfy beds and good sized rooms. '

'This is a brand new hotel. We were the first Expedia customers staying here. We were extremely happy with our stay. We had a great view of the water and harbour area of Ksamil. Everything is walking distance. Breakfast was was one of best we had during our stay in Albania. The roof top restaurant has amazing views. It is also where you eat breakfast. The staff working there are also wonderful. They are personable and truly want you to enjoy yourself. Highly recommend this hotel.'

'Only negative is that the hotel is far up on a hill, so make sure to have some kind of transportation. Elsewise a very good and comfortable hotel with good pool and tanning area. Make sure to get a room with seaview. The view is amazing.'

"The Ilio Hotel was quite new, but there were some things not good. The bed sheets were loose, so they were all over the place. When showering, the whole bathroom was soaking wet because there was no shower curtain. The breakfast was included, but only after a little discussion. And still had to pay for the coffee, 400 lek."
