Mooi strand. De zee is goed om te zwemmen. Veel restaurants in de buurt. Het ontbijt van het hotel is prima. Het hotel heeft een mooie tuin.

Het hotel is het allemaal net niet. Op de website staat vermeld dat er een fitness aanwezig is, maar dit is niet het geval. Bij het zwembad zijn de stoelen constant bezet met handdoeken, ook heel vroeg in de ochtend, waardoor je altijd op de achterste rij mag aansluiten. Geen stoelen op het strand. Kamers wel schoon. Hotel midden in het centrum van Lamai beach.

Prima plekje!
Bij aankomst om twaalf uur was de kamer nog niet beschikbaar. Dus eerst een hapje gegeten in het restaurant van het hotel. We liepen langs de keuken die er zo schoon en hygiënisch uitzag dat het eten hierdoor nog lekkerder smaakte! We hebben hier drie nachten achter elkaar geslapen en later nog een nachtje terug gegaan. Prijs/kwaliteit was voor ons goed! Voor Thaise begrippen erg schoon! Verder heerlijk om vanuit het zwembad naar de zee te staren. Maar ook heerlijk om in het heerlijke en heldere water van de zee te zwemmen...

Great breakfast! Excellent service, the lady at the reception area scheduled transportation from the Hotel to our next place (another island/hotel). Our room/cabin was very quiet and super close to the pool and beach. They cleaned the room daily and always left water bottles for us. They had plenty of chaise longues and towels in the pool/beach area. Definitely will be back.

Dårlig oplevelse
Meget dårlig service på hotellet. Personalet var på ingen måde i mødekommende eller serviceminded. Vi havde ikke fået nyt toilet papir og jeg bad receptionen om at få noget op på vores værelse da vi var på vej i byen. Det ville receptionen ikke stille der op og jeg måtte selv gå rundt med toiletpapiret. Området omkring poolen var meget slidt og fliserne lå hulter til bulter og der var ukrudt over alt. Morgenmadsbuffet manglede noget ost og pålæg og kaffemaskinen lavede kun lunken kaffe. Bestemt ikke et hotel der var pengene værd. Det eneste gode var placeringen direkte til stranden

Loving Lamai
This is our second time in the last three years to stay at Lamai Wanta. We loved the pool, excellent access to the beach and the wonderful buffet brunch. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The front desk staff are very accommodating and efficient. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Besides being right on the beach, the resort is just one block off of the Lamai Beach Road for easy access to shopping, restaurants and convenience stores. Our time there was very relaxing. The downside is the European tourist habit of smoking. There are a lot of them and they are not very considerate and of course the Thai people are very polite and accommodating. I did not enjoy my patio much because of the neighbours smoking. It's great that there is a lot to do in Lamai. We would definitely go back and we recommend this resort. Great value for the price.

This resort is on a very rough part of the Gulf. The beautiful pool provided an alternative to swimming in the Gulf. The resort is very well managed and operated and the staff went out of their way for the guests. The restaurant and bar service during the day was great. We had lunch there twice and the food was excellent. Happy hour is something this resort should consider as the price of drinks are a little on the high side.

We stayed at the Lamai Wanta Beach Resort for 8 nights & did not want to leave. The attractive grounds are a well designed cluster of low rise (2 & 3 storey) buildings & a number of bungalows between the beach & the low rise buildings. We loved the elephant towel creations that greeted our arrival! The lovely beach is a minute’s walk from the room. The water is wonderful for swimming. You do not have to walk for long to get to deeper water. The beach is long & scalloped, but as the sand is grainy, the walking is aerobic! Fronting the property is both the restaurant & the infinity pool. We had all our breakfasts & a number of other meals in the restaurant & enjoyed every one. The coffee machine, with fresh beans, dispensing lattes & cappuccinos was much appreciated. There are over 40 loungers in good condition! The pool was very clean. There was some shade, under a huge malabar tree & a number of attractive beach umbrellas. The staff were friendly & helpful. The resort was well maintained & pretty. Our room was well cleaned daily. Our room was nice, with a fair sized desk & adequate storage room. There were coffee making supplies in our room, as well as access to a coffee machine in the reception room/library. The balcony with a drying clothes rack was a good size & felt private. I didn’t need to use mosquito repellent & got only 1 bite during our whole stay! The only downside to our stay was that the excellent wifi had to be continually signed in. We want to return here!!

Personalen var trevlig och hjälpsam, vi bodde 5 nätter över nyår. Rummen var kala och omysiga. Mycket trasigt och gammalt. Badrummen hade gammalt kakel som blivit gult och spegeln var trasig. Själva hotellet var mysigt, poolen perfekt många solstolar och havet ligget bara ett stenkast bort. Dock våran period var det för höga vågor så badförbud. Frukosten var god och bra variation. Vi hyrde moppe från hotellet. Lätt och smidigt och personalen svarade på frågor vi hade men inte så mycket mer än så. Jag skulle inte åka tillbaka och tyvärr inte rekommendera detta.
