The Beech House: Family Fun in Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve with Locals

The Beech House is located in a super family-friendly neighborhood adjacent to Sea Scape Golf course amid expansive Kitty Hawk Woods Coastal Reserve. This area is a rarity on Bodie Island heavily wooded section with super convenient access to the beach, shopping and bike & walking trails.
The Living Area has Large Screen TV with surround sound, as well as a karaoke machine. Recreation Room has a large-screen TV/VCR/DVD and pool table; 2 Queen Bunks and a futon provide additional sleeping space.
The kitchen is a well-equipped, while the living and dining areas are both beautiful and functional. In addition to the large-screen TV/VCR/DVD the living area has Surround Sound that also extends to screened porch where a volume control is located.
There are also loads of games, books, DVD and VCR movies available for your enjoyment, as well as some toys for young children: Check the custom china cupboard and inside ottoman.
The Master Bedroom has 'wire' connection to WiFi network, TV/DVD/VCR, massive Master Bath, and an exterior entrance/exit to a private covered porch with stair access to the pool area and back of home.
The guest Master Bedroom is only bedroom that overlooks the pool, and has a rocking chair, but no TV.
The two pyramid bunk rooms each have TV w/ imbedded DVD player, and has a double-size bottom bunk, single-size top bunk, and a single-size trundle below.
The cable unit one 2nd floor can be moved to either of the 3 bedrooms (master or bunks), but should be returned to master bedroom if moved during your stay.

Outdoor Fun: The pool area has speaker to Surround Sound which can be turned on, with volume control, from the screened-in porch area, so music/sound can be enjoyed as well for 'outdoor' sound as well as 'indoor' sound. There are quite a few lounge chairs and a few pool floats. In addition to the pool, there is a screened porch, outdoor shower, and hot tub. Beach supplies and yard games are also kept in garage for your use. The beach umbrella can be used for short (due to wind/weather) periods with the outdoor patio table that has center hole for umbrella insertion.

Craig and Judy were great hosts and very responsive! They communicated well before our stay, during our stay and even afterwards. The house was perfect for the families we had and our kids. Everyone had a great time and it was in a great location! Definitely will stay here again if we go back to visit the outer banks!

The house was awesome. The location is perfect. It is in the wooded area so a breeze made the sounds awesome. Kids loved the pool and hot tub. Especially loved the bonus room . Kitchen was well stocked and the air fryer was great. A needed small appliance in any Vrbo house. The owner was great to work with . Especially friendly and helpful. Any questions we had response time was very quick. Can’t say enough good things about the house. Plenty of games and books to keep you busy if you don’t want to go out. Thanks

Nice, clean home that is well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised that the backyard pool had gates with gates or doors with locks so little kids could not get back there unattended, I really appreciated that. I wouldn't say it's walkable to the beach however it's a very short drive, like 2 minutes and the beach entrance has parking spots.

Family vacay in Kitty Hawk

Our family had a fantastic time at the Beech House! This was our first time visiting Kitty Hawk and we will be back! The house was beautifully decorated and well stocked with supplies. Garage had an abundance of beach equipment and pool toys. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. We spent a lot of time swimming and also enjoyed using the pool table. Would definitely book here again!

Amazing Family Memories!!

What an amazing and beautiful beach house to make memories in. From the inground pool to the hot tub, to game nights in the screened in back porch. Or late nights playing pool and family games, so many fun stories came from our vacation here. The owners were absolutely wonderful to work with. The beds are comfy, and there are plenty!! My kiddos loved the loft beds in the game room!!We loved the fact there were 4 bikes to use and we toured different neighborhoods every evening and enjoyed the scenery. The toys and beach chairs provided were also so helpful. We played so many of the games the owners have, and the kids had a blast. The beach is a short and very easy walk. We did drive a couple days because my mom struggles to walk long distances, and it was super easy to find public parking across the street from the beach on Luke Street. This home is situated in a beautiful, and very quiet neighborhood. It was nice to sightsee all day, then come back and relax in this beautiful home. A big plus was Walmart was only 5 minutes away, and Target is also right down the road. And the owners have a washer and two dryers making life easier for cleanup. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and tons of cooking appliances galore. You cannot go wrong with taking a vacation here.Thank you for a wonderful week and we will definitely be back. Wonderful owners to work with!!

Spring Break stay in NC

Our family of four and small dog stayed here for a short Spring Break trip. The house, located in a residential community, was very clean, organized, spacious and well-maintained. It was easy to check in and out and communications with the owners was excellent. We were able to ask questions about the house and get tips on touring the area. Great rental for large groups

I often struggle finding a place that is truly big enough for my ever growing family. This place did not disappoint. With 8 adults we could have fit several more comfortably. The host were so gracious and very communitive. I would gladly stay there again.

We lived the size of the home, with our teens getting their own hangout space with pool table, fun built in bunk beds, and TV. Other bedrooms and baths were spacious along with a great room for everyone to gather. I loved the pool and pool furniture plus hot tub. I would come back with my extended family as well!The area was beautiful to walk or bike around.

Spacious for family

Great location at the beginning of the strip. Cross over the main road to get to the beach. Very spacious home to spread out. Loved the dual fryer machines. The main attraction was the pool and hot tub. Garage could be cleaned a little better but not a deal breaker. Overall a great stay.

2024 Obx stay

My husband and I were looking for a place for one last big vacation with our close friends before our baby comes. I am so happy I found this rental. Host was very friendly and even allowed us to enter property earlier than check in time. Property had plenty of space for us all (3 couples and one stand alone friend) to hang out together and still feel like we had our own place to relax. It's not right up on the beach, but that's something we really enjoyed. We got to be at the beach, but also had privacy of our own little pool and hot tub for the week. Our friend utilized the bikes for some short distance shopping. Had a few times where frogs tried to follow us inside, but that only made for some funny memories. Highly recommend 👌
