We booked this property in July for travel overseas over Christmas and New Year’s, and the confirmation email at the time of payment was from VRBO, but upon arrival, we had no access information. We messaged the host through VRBO with no response and tried to call directly, but the call did not connect, likely due to being overseas. VRBO support was also unable to reach the host and instructed us to secure alternative accommodations immediately, which we did. The access information was eventually sent, but it was timestamped after our call ended, and we did not see it until the next day, making it irrelevant. The manager later claimed that other access emails had been sent from random Gmail addresses, but when I searched my emails for “VRBO,” nothing appeared except the original July confirmation email, despite VRBO clearly stating in the app that all communication should go through their platform. Due to the host’s lack of communication, we were forced to find alternative lodging, resulting in extra cost and stress. We cannot recommend this host due to poor communication, failure to provide access, and lack of responsiveness.
