This is a review of our June stay in room 2092 in the Longleaf of The Pines.Pros:Beautiful view of the mountains across the valley and the Snake River below. Sitting on the balcony you can hear the river. With the windows open at night, you can sleep to the sound of the river. This "pro" is for me and maybe not for you. The Pines is not located within the hustle/ bustle area of River Run. If you want to be smack in the middle of things, this is not it. The facility is dated, but clean. Our room has the basics like a drip coffee pot and coffee/ filters, utensils, cook pots and pans, etc. Microwave and full fridge. Hair dryer. This is a one bedroom and a 1-1/2 bath. There is a TV in the BR and in the living room. Nice hike/bike trail close by.Cons:This "con" mostly applies to those that may be older, handicapped, or those with heavy luggage. From the parking lot, you must walk down a few stairs to then walk up several stairs to get you to the foyer where the elevator is located. The pick up site for the keys is unmanned and about a mile away. The keys are left in a lock box and you will receive the combo. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme. There is an approx 8 inch step-over to get onto the balcony from both the LR and the BR. Imagine stepping into your bath tub, but not quite as tall. The washers/dryers are in the pool bldg. This may be a biggie...There is No AC! The first afternoon was 80 and warm inside. Summary: We would stay there again.
