Enjoy the water views from this Key Colony Beach retreat. This home is steps away from the canal, where you can bring your boat and use up to 35 feet of the private dock. Watch for manatees and tarpon, regularly seen in the 200-foot wide canal. This home is situated on the widest water canal in Key Colony and faces East for cool, comfortable porch sitting and beautiful sunrises. Wide open golf course right across the street. Horseshoes, bocce ball, tennis court and playground within walking distance right down 7th street. You'll also have access to a shared pool, hot tub and other amenities at the Cabana Club. Key Colony is a quiet, private community with restaurants within walking distance. Walk or bike to private Sunset Beach to watch the beautiful sunsets every evening.

This centrally located home is within walking distance to all that Key Colony has to offer. It's less than one mile away from scenic US 1 and the city of Marathon. Enjoy one of the nearby shops or restaurants, or take advantage of one of the local charter companies for a chance to paddle board, snorkel, or scuba dive. Great little place

This was a great place to stay. Very close to everything in the keys that we wanted to do and in the middle mark for distance to key west or up to key largo. Our neighbors were great and gave us alot of good tips where to check things out. Also if you have a boat there is access to a dock out back, that also has quite a bit of marine life activity in the water at night. My daughter loved it. I would definitely stay here again. Also, the huge plus is access to the cabana club for swimming in the pool or beach access.

Great location but not family-friendly

Overall it was a pleasant place to stay. Just be aware that the two bedrooms are back-to-back so that you must walk through one bedroom to get to the other. There is an outside door you can exit from the master bedrooom and then come into the main area outside door, but isn't a great option for during the night.

Nice place to stay. Quiet neighborhood with good restaurant. Only flaw was no neighborhood boat ramp and closest one was $70 a day to use!!!!! House could have been cleaned better also. But overall not a bad stay!

Great location but needs updates

The neighborhood amenities, restaurants, and access to the pool and beach club were the highlight of the stay. The unit itself needs updating. My son is 6’4” and the guest shower head hit at his chest, for example. The master bath needs an exhaust fan and the only plugs for hair dryers and such are located behind the door by the washer and dryer. It would have been nice for the price to include a few bikes for use in the neighborhood. Finally having to walk through the second bedroom or outside and around is awkward with guests. The place is best for two people. If you have a boat, the location on the canal is very nice. The sunrise view from the back is lovely. The backyard debris needs cleaning up and updated furniture compared to others around it.

Great place for ocean access

This was a great place for access to the ocean and seeing the keys. It’s easy to locate and offer great opportunities to see what the keys has to offer. The boat slip was perfect for our 28 foot rental. There is fresh water to rinse off the salt from your equipment after a day fishing. There is a fish cleaning table that we used every day for our fish and lobsters.

Family Fun at Key Colony

We had a wonderful time while staying on this property. The house was clean, organized, items where easy to find. The neighborhood was welcoming, safe, and quiet....overall a wonderful fit for our family. We loved our time at the Cabana Club. The staff was friendly and courteous. Only a few small things that could use some help... The shower in the main hallway took a couple of minutes for the hot water to kick in for us & the backyard is lovely but had an excess of leaves that could use a little maintenance. It was nice to have the tree because it gave us shade from the hot sun, but those leaves got on everything. Overall, it was still a very very very lovely home and will definitely plan to return. Highly recommend it. Oh, and the views from Sunset Park of the sunset are breathtaking, but be sure to put on some bug spray on yourself and the kiddos...the No-see-um's can be vicious at dusk and dawn. The neighborhood of Key Colony is so incredibly beautiful. The fishing from the dock in the back is wonderful and having the golf course right in front of the house was awesome! Staying here was in the perfect location to explore all the Keys have to offer.

Very nice home in great location

This was our second visit to Key Colony Beach and this home was in a great location. Clean home, comfy beds, and’s hot showers with plenty of water pressure. All basics were covered, and we enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, as well. A huge manatee visited us on our last day, and my husband caught at least 6 varieties of fish from our deck, including Sargent Major, Pompano, Bluestriped Grunt, and the biggest surprise, a 2’ long barracuda! The deck sagged considerably in the middle, but it was still safeto walk on, but may need to be looked at in the future. The house suited our purpose beautifully, and we truly appreciated how quickly the owners returned our emails.

Perfect spot

This was the perfect place for our family to spend a week. Property was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Walking distance to the pool/private beach, easy to access restaurants and boat rentals, and the canal out back was a great spot to sit and enjoy the wildlife (we saw a manatee on day one). Couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more!

Good property in Marathon.

This rental is pretty homey and welcoming. The owner experienced a bit of a problem with the unit that required a repair and we had to wait two nights to stay. The owner felt terrible and made us whole, I feel like integrity during a problem speaks volumes and I would definitely rent again if I’m the area. Positives: the sheets are sooo soft, air works very well (kept at an average of 73 and we were cold sometimes), well stocked kitchen, nice back patio, large capacity washer and dryer, and smart TV’s. Negative: one bedroom is a pass through to the master. All in all a good property.

Could have been better

When we got to the property after 4pm, the property had not been cleaned at all from previous stay. We texted the owner, who was prompt and contacted their cleaning agency. There was a mix up and the property had not been scheduled to be cleaned. The cleaning crew arrived within an hour and set to work. During this time we took a walk and sat in the backyard. Not ideal for those of us who had spent 14 hours traveling and had not gotten much sleep. After cleaning crew left, the place was very clean. We hadn't realized though that you had to go through one bedroom to get to the other one, which was kind of funky. There was at least an outside entrance to the back bedroom, which helped. The home is small and with 5 of us in there, it could get crowded at times. The location was wonderful. Really close to everything and since we rented a boat for a couple of days, it was ideal since it had a dock. Would love to stay in Key Colony Beach again, but would probably not stay here.

Great location with a beautiful canal view

This property was a real treat! The unit was immaculate and nicely furnished. The sliding door had a view of the canal and dock which was beautiful and relaxing when hanging out on the patio. The location was within walking distance to several restaurants and the cabana club. My early morning walks in the neighborhood were comfortable as there are biking and walking lanes. We fished from the dock, and manatees were frequent visitors in the canal. One day they hung out right by our dock for close to half an hour! We had a great time at this unit and are already trying to plan a return trip next year.

Relaxing oasis at the beginning of Key Colony! Cabana was a quick walk away! No flares but had just what was needed. Easy check-in and Property Manager readily available.

Quiet and quaint

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a great time fishing off the dock and spending time with the friendly neighbors. This property is great for anyone with a boat or anyone looking for a quiet getaway. There are a few restaurants near by and the cabana club was a nice addition. The property had everything we needed. There were only a few tv channels to choose from but we didn't need them.

Things needed.

My overall experience was good. A very nice location and view. However my spouse and I woke up on 2 different occasions with ants crawling on us and we saw a dead roach on the floor. Probably needs to be serviced by a pest control company. The other thing needed is an upgrade on the cable channels. Yes I was on vacation and wasn't in the house much but almost every channel I turned to said notavailable. I would've like to watch t.v. as I am going to bed.
