'Suiun was voor ons wel de kroon op ons verblijf in Japan. Wat een ontzettend fijn, zen en rustig hotel. Eten was formidabel, zowel ochtend als avondeten. De algemene Spa en Onsen waren fantastisch. Het personeel was uitmuntend. Mocht je ooit naar Japan gaan, boek deze Ryokan en ervaar de Japanse cultuur. Onze speciale dank gaat uit naar Suiun Manami. Wat een schat van een meid. Ze kon ook nog redelijk Engels. '

'Family of four (with 8yo twins) stayed here in November 2025. It's a beautiful inn, comfortable and clean and quiet, with friendly staff and good food for breakfast and dinner. The bath is lovely -- staff help you book a time in the evening at check in, and it's available on a first come first served basis in the morning. 'We had an amazing experience here. The staff were amazing, the rooms very comfortable, the food fantastic. It is a bit further away from the main activities of Hakone, but the team will help you navigate the bus system, which was relatively efficient. '

'This felt like a luxury apartment with a private onsen, large tv and bbq. The location itself is near a train station and several bus stops. Please be aware that this property is on a mountain so getting to those might stretch your calf muscles. Lovely location!'

'Great hotel and clean. Very nice onsen and massage chair. I would definitely return! The walk from the tramway is 6 minutes along flat, but otherwise the walk up from the station is worth taking a taxi as it is quite steep.'
