Welcome to Birchcliff Getaway!

This stunning year-round home sits atop its 5.9 acre park-like lot and captures one of the most stunning views on all of Black Sturgeon Lake. Enjoy ultimate privacy, a modern and well constructed year-round home and a view that will never get old! The cottage is a bungalow offering a total of 2,752 square feet of living space with 3 main floor bedrooms, main floor laundry, attached sunroom, attached deck, walkout lower level, 3 lower lever bedrooms, a total of 3 baths. Lots of level yard space for parking. This lot offers almost 450 feet of frontage, with deep water, south exposure and a new dock.

Deep water rock frontage and windswept pines make this an unforgettable vacation experience! Some of the many amenities include use of a new BBQ, Starlink high-speed internet, uninterrupted cell service, 2 TV’s with access to all your favorite streaming services (Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video, etc.), and only a15 minute drive to Kenora that offers Walmart, Tim Horton’s, local restaurants, breweries, take-out, shopping, grocery stores.

Guests will have access to the entire space which includes main cottage, dock and outdoor fire area. Enjoy this gorgeous property for your family reunion, business retreat or just a private getaway with friends!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a family owned cottage offering a beautiful vacation home to our guests. Bachelor or group parties need not apply. We have great neighbors and respect their privacy. If you are looking for a party house, please apply elsewhere.
Guests will need to bring their own beach towels for use outside on the deck, dock, boat, water sports, etc.

Rental rate of $995/night or $6,965/week plus $475 cleaning fee. Minimum 7-night rental in June, July, August and minimum 2-night rental all other months.

Fishing destination made possible

Exceptional week in this stunning home. Went fishing everyday. Had to improvise a bit for cleaning fish and charging boat batteries as there is no electricity at the dock. Had to drive a pickup precariously up and down the drive from the house to the lakeshore but we made it work. Would definitely stay here again!

We recently stayed here for 2 weeks with some extended family. The location is fantastic, the cabin is beautiful, very well equipped, and very new and clean. The owner was very responsive and always available for questions. Highly recommended! Thanks!

A great time

The cabin was super spacious, very clean with spectacular views. The property owner was responsive and helpful. The distance to the dock was a bit of a challenge but we adapted and went down for longer and more focused periods of time. There were kid's sized kayaks which was a real hit. The lake is a real attraction for boat owners and it's enormous with passage ways to adjacent bodies of water. We enjoyed the dog park which we mowed and turned into a small children-friendly soccer pitch. The owner also allowed us to charge our electric truck with their RV charging port, a huge relief for EV driving folks. There is great hiking, both on the property itself and nearby.

Spectacular View

We had a great stay at this lovely home. Lots of room upstairs and down. The deck is beautiful and the view is tremendous! The walkout basement is a convenient way to enter or exit the house. Steve was excellent to deal with! We had a great time and would stay again!

Beautiful space

We had a wonderful family reunion here. The living space is clean, well-kept and spacious. There's a wonderful dock area. We hired a local fishing guide to take us out one day for our full limit. The only negative is the hike from the cottage to the dock, but if you plan well, you don't have to make that trip too often.

Picnic point is the perfect place for families!

We loved staying at this property. The cabin was gorgeous, well stocked, clean, and spacious. Being on the point was ideal and the location on LOTW was peaceful. We fished daily, swam off the dock multiple times a day and had evening fires on the point. All of the beds were comfortable and everyone had great sleeps, the AC also helped! Everything we needed was at the cabin and it was so easy to cook for all of us in the spacious kitchen. The owner was one of the best VRBO hosts we have dealt with, super easy to get a hold of, checked in with us and was helpful before and durning our stay. Thank you for sharing your magical space with us, many wonderful memories were made.
