Hotel ligt gunstig, aan de kop van de 'High street' en dichtbij het park Abbey Fields, met de fraaie ruïne van het kasteel. Kennilworth is een geode uitvalsbasis voor toeristische trips in de Midlands.

Brilliant location for what we needed at the nearby Priory Theatre. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Had room service which was nice too. Would recommend and will be staying again for our next visit

The front of house staff were friendly and helpful and were the main positive about the hotel. We ate at the hotel and the staff were helpful in reserving us a table, but when we got to the bar, it was poorly stocked with no beer on tap and no child friendly drinks, the fridges were pretty bare and running out quickly. It took food a very long time to come out (nearly two hours after we arrived so we had some very cranky children) but thankfully it was good when it eventually turned up. The food choice at breakfast was also good. However, the toilets in the lobby were dirty and in poor condition. The rooms were ok but not clean, the bedside tables were thick with dust and the bedding was dirty. They were also very warm (the air con for the room was only in the lounge area so this was freezing while the bed and bathroom were both boiling), and were not soundproof, so trying to get our child to sleep was made more difficult by some very loud jazz music coming from outside.

This Holiday was booked as it was the nearest to an event we were attending. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and the breakfast was delicious. Hope to return.

Needs improvements
The room especially the bathroom wasnt overly clean, the grout in the shower was orange. There was tissue paper blocking the spy hole in the door which housekeeping obviously hadnt noticed and the hairdryer was sticky. The hotel room needed some TLC, the windows were dripping condensation in the morning and the grab rail in the bath wasnt secure. (I didnt report this) Music was playing loudly until 11pm which we could hear in the room, when we mentioned this we were told it is every other Saturday and next time request a room over the bridge as that is quieter. The car park didnt feel secure. Positives were breakfast, a good selection. The bar man was helpful and friendly. Dinner was good and there was a nice choice. A cot was provided free of charge. Great location if visiting the castle.

Good option for locality, free parking outside. Room size double ok, facilities good, clean & fresh. Usb sockets one side of bed only. Lots of good restaurant choices nearby. Good value.

Booked a suite and was disappointed. Hotels tired and in need of a full refurbishment. Bathroom had been refurbished but the door had no handle cover, loose screws and the paint was very chipped. Fridge in room was empty. The corridor linking the hotel blocked was icy cold as the electric radiator had packed up. The bed felt like you were laying on the springs trying to adjust your body to slot in and then not move. Very disappointing for a hotel in the heart of Kenilworth. Did offer good EV charging so at least one good comment.

On arrival we were told the 2pm booking had changed to 3pm but our room still wasn’t available at 3pm. We went back at 3.30pm and insisted we needed to get in to our room. The chap on reception was doing his best and eventually gave us the keys. At the bar, the staff had never heard of Cinzanno so we asked for Prosecco but they didn’t have any. In the evening they didn’t have tonic for the gin so we had elderflower. Breakfast was chaotic just because so many people wanted to eat at the same time. We all felt very sorry for the staff who were doing the best they could with insufficient staff members. At 2.30am the fire alarm went off but it was intermittent and I would have thought it should be constant. We were told some person broke the glass cover so not the hotel’s fault.

Pleasant staff. Dirty carpets.
The hallway carpets on floor 6 were extremely dirty, with many stains. As a microbiologist, this is a very big health risk, and also aesthetically very unpleasing. The curtains are very 80s and outdated. Not very comforting. My collegues room had no heating (floor 2). Breakfast was very good, and very pleasant staff. Bar had a good atmosphere. (Could there be gluten free beer on offer next time?)

Convenient location but lacking cleanliness
For ease of convenience we chose to stay locally to stoneleigh park. The best was very comfortable and parking on site was easy to arrange. Unfortunately the more you looked the worse the room got, there was a HUGE leak in the ceiling in the bathroom dripping onto the surfaces and floor. The cleanliness was satisfactory but not by any means good.

Lovely location. Great breakfast. Reception and bar areas nice but anything beyond the lift needs refurbishment like the corridor carpets the air con and heating. Overall a pleasant stay.

No worth money
I used Holiday Inn first time and it didn't meet expectation in compare the other hotel chain like Premier Inn, Travelodge, where I have stayed before. As soon as we entered the room, we saw dust/spider web on one of the spot light. The bathroom exhaust fan was full of dust and I think the exhaust fan wasn't working, as result bathroom was covered with lots of steam. We had leave hotel window open. Bed and other facilities were good. It wasn't worth money I paid. Will not book again with Holiday Inn.

Poor stay - I will avoid in future
Numerous small irritations that were just mostly lazy maintenance issues. 1.. Plugs in both shower/bath and sink were faulty which meant prising them up with finger nails or some sort of implement to empty water. 2. Broken/missing shelf in shower 3. Broken missing loo roll holder in loo. 4. Hole in bedroom curtain. 5. Could hear family in next room very easily so disturbed sleep. Overall very poor for £95 per night. Would not stay again.
