Even though the information on Expedia about the location is wrong (hopefully it has since been rectified); Maria does not do cancellation or refund. Therefore we were in a place we did not want to stay. Everything measured out in the apartment. 2 knives, 2 cups etc. No possibility to make coffee or cook properly. Lassi and Argostoli are a long walk and climb. The difference between the Expedia and actual address is about a 33 minute walk, which with the steep incline is almost impossible to navigate, be aware before booking.

Maria’s apartments Kefalonia.

Comfortable rooms. We had a patio with fabulous sunset views. Need a car as the walk uphill can be taxing in the heat. Plenty of room for parking. Staff at the sister hotel were helpful. The Greek night was fun. The local beach Makris Gialos was beautiful. Such clear water. Had a wonderful time exploring the island.

We spent 2 weeks in August at Maria’s. Lovely apartments with beautiful surroundings and a gorgeous view. Apartments were basic but had everything we needed. There is a hairdryer (which isn’t mentioned in the description). Check in was easy, we had a late arrival and were advised in advance of our apartment number beforehand and access instructions. Housekeeping was daily and maids were very friendly. As mentioned previously, it is a steep hill up to the apartments but we found it walkable. We walked both to Lassi and Argostoli (about 40 minutes). We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay in a tranquil private location

The apartment is basic and was perfect for us. The housekeepers came everyday and the place was spotless. The gardens are very well kept The pool area is like having your own private pool as it is not well used. Amazing views from the patio. Being able to use the sister hotel was a bonus. Beautiful pool and lovely pool bar with a good menu. Maria and maria 2 were very helpful. On the day of departure they organised a transfer to the sister hotel with our luggage so we had a whole day to relax. George the taxi driver was a very nice man collected us from maria’s apartments and later took us to the airport. For future guests. There is no information in the room about how to walk to the sister hotel. We watched other people and found the path… at a slow pace 7 minutes. Well worth it. See photos When we arrived in the heat it would have been helpful to have a plan of where all the apartments are located. We relied on another guest to help us. The hotel.com description does not make it clear that the property is up a very steep hill. It costs Eur 8 of an evening to get a taxi back up… unless you are very fit.

The property is simple and very clean and comfortable. Quiet and the pool area is hardly used. Some sellers say there is breakfast available and a bar and snack bar but we found nothing. The information in the room also says this. As the property is a 10 minute walk uphill this would have been welcome. However, the property below, Liberteros, allows non residents to use the bar/snack bar and pool, which was very good and quiet most days. The sister hotel is down the hill, along the road and up another hill, we didn't bother. Taxis up from town were 7/8 euros. Check in was great. We got a message to say what our room numbers were and to let ourselves in. The maid came daily and the towels were fresh, clean and fluffy . The views are stunning and worth the uphill walk but avoid this property if you have mobility issues unless you are hiring a car or get a taxi up the hill. If i went back to Lassi I would certainly consider this property.

I loved the view we had from our balcony. We were able to enjoy sunsets from our room. I didnt love the location, i had read reviews saying its not far from shops and restaurants which is true if the shops you are after are the supermarket souvenir shops. I would definetly recommend hiring a car so you can go into Argostoli whenever you like and also to be able to enjoy the views the whole island has to offer. The hill the apartments is on is long, whiney and steep. I booked the accommodation because it said we had aircon and we were travelling with a baby so it was a must for us. When we got there we were told we had to pay extra for the aircon. Something to be mindful of when booking these rooms

Just returned from 12 nights in Marias. Very clean apartments (Maid cleaned and all towels change every day !!) Lovely views across lassi to sea and bay. Balcony and table/chairs to eat outside. Well tended and arranged garden and flowers everywhere; very pretty.Large pool and chairs /shade at apartments. Short walk to Dionysus resort ( part of complex) where lovely pool, bar and views galore. Very smart furniture and well designed pool area. Spent a lot of time there relaxing. Very reasonably prices drinks/food and very friendly attentive service. no real bad points at all....parhaps Air Con should be included in price, as can't believe anybody wouldn't need it...but that's it really. Very friendly and helpful service on reception. Its a 12 min walk down the road to Lassi main road with all the shops/restaurants, and then another 8 mins down to nearest beach. If you spend in the supermarkets they provide a free /2Euro tip taxi back up the hill, as with shopping the steep climb in heat can be challenging. At other times the taxi is 6Euros; walking down is easy..its the walk up that is sometimes a bit too much. But don't let that put you off; the view from the apartments is wonderful , and its nice to stay a bit apart from the cars on the street.

Posizione leggermente fuori da Argostoli, nella zona di Lassi. Bellissimo panorama poiché si trova sulle colline che fanno sul mare. Struttura ben tenuta, con piscina (si tratta di ville suddivise in appartamenti). Non esiste in loco una reception, nel caso vi siano necessità quindi bisogna chiamare. Ogni giorno viene pulito l'appartamento e cambiati teli e asciugamani. Nel complesso un attimo struttura.

Comfortable, clean, quiet and with stunning views

Studio apartment A2 on first floor of a villa, very comfortable double bed, separate shower room and delightful balcony overlooking beautiful garden, olive groves and across to the deep blue sea of the entrance to the Gulf of Argostoli. The kitchenette was also clean, equipped with fridge, little cooker unit, kettle and toaster but the range of utensils was very limited and could be an inconvenience to some. The lack of equipment did not really bother us as we just had light breakfasts or lunches and ate out at the local restaurants most evenings. The apartment was serviced and our towels were changed every single day for 2 weeks, the bed made and the rooms cleaned. The villa is not the usual sort of HomeAway apartment rented out usually by individual owners: most of the bookings for this villa are through the main holiday resort of Dionysos who cater for package holiday companies, such as Tui and Thomas Cook. The villa is part of a small complex set out on a hill and has a pool which is also shared by the other villas. The climb up from Lassi's main road takes about 12 minutes and is quite steep but manageable for most. Local taxis are used to taking holidaymakers up the hill for a reasonable fee and some supermarkets offer a free lift service if you spend about 20 euros. We had a superb holiday here, explored the capital, Argostoli, about 30 minutes walk from villa, and hired a car to go further afield to really get to know the wonders of Kefalonia. We would happily recommend the villa to anyone who prefers a simple, self-catering and self-contained style of accommodation and holiday.
