The Kauai Coast is a beautiful Shell Vacations/ Wyndham Resort located near the Coconut Marketplace in the centrally located town of Kapaa, Kauai. This beautiful resort offers beach access and features a full kitchen, with living room/dining area and flat screen TV as well as a washer/dryer in unit. Unit also has a patio or balcony and beautiful surrounding views. Resort features the island renowned Hukilau Lanai restaurant on site as well as frequent nightly live entertainment and beautiful tropical gardens to explore. There is a large pool with waterfall feature and hot tub with a well equipped fitness center.. The adjacent Coconut market offers many shops and there are several restaurants all within walking distance of the resort. The historic town of Kapaa is centrally located to explore all parts of the island on easy day trips.

Very nice oceanfront property. Staff was great. Convenient location with easy access to restaurants and marketplace. James, our host was very helpful. Provided us with important tips and recommendations to plan our time on the island very well.

Great place to stay

Booking and check in was easy and clear. Property is very nice and centrally located. Property is a bit older and has normal wear and tear, but overall very well kept and a beautiful property.Kitchen had everything we needed to cook some of our own meals. Very spacious room and we could see the ocean from our balcony.Centrally located for adventures all over the island. Also easy walking distance to several restaurants and shops.Overall we were very happy and would highly recommend this property!!

Wonderful location, amazing resort

Amazing way to explore the entire island. James, the host, was extraordinarily helpful with recommendations and went out of his way to make himself available to answer any questions we had. The resort is beautifully landscaped and right on the water. One of the best restaurants on the island is also right on property! Couldn't be happier having stayed here.

Nice room, decent location

My husband and I visited over Christmas and New Year and enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately we arrived during a very big rain storm which resulted in lots of flooding and lots of debris on the beach in front. The water was murky and the beach was completely unusable during our stay but from our understanding this wasn’t very common. We were told that the beach isn’t meant for swimming but usually is much more beautiful. After a few days the beach directly to the left (2 min walking) had cleared but unfortunately there are several shady characters camping/living here and I found it uncomfortable to spend time there alone. We had to drive up north or down south to enjoy the beach which was a little disappointing. The property itself is nice! We loved our 1 bedroom condo! It was really large with a full kitchen (stocked with cooking utensils), dining area, living area with tv, extremely large bathroom with a washer/dryer in the unit, king size bed in the separate bedroom with tv and large closet. Also two sliders leading to a large porch with a view of the ocean and mountains (unit 2306). It was clean and well stocked. Beach towels, a portable speaker, coffee, shampoo etc were all provided, it had all the amenities of a hotel but so much more space! The resort was quiet and we slept very well. Note, there are no elevators, didn’t bother us but may be a problem for others. Pool area is nice with lots of chairs and umbrellas for use. The pool bar is open daily where you can get drinks and food. We went to the store and stocked up on food/drink and brought a cooler down for the day to save $. In the parking lot of the resort is coconut market place which has an ABC store with all the basic necessities including a deli, coffee bar and lots of pre packaged foods. There are a few restaurants and shops and very convenient. There are a few other places within walking distance and if you don’t mind the walk you can walk into old Kapa’a town (about 1.5 miles). The town has some really great food and cute shops. The hotel restaurant is really impressive as well! We ate both Xmas and New Years eve dinner here and were very impressed! The location of the resort makes it very easy to head to the north end or south end of the island for the day (about 30 min drive in either direction). James was so great and so helpful in the reservation process! Because of his kindness and prompt responses we will for sure consider visiting again and recommend to others!

A great place centrally located.

The accommodations were nice, the grounds were beautiful and it was half way between all the activities we had planned. The only downside was that you need to walk down a couple of properties to get to a beach suitable for swimming. But you are right on the beach and they have a nice restaurant.

Lovely property and lovely condo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kauai Coast. We are very well travelled and agreed This was one of the best vacations we have ever had! Hukilau on site has good food and live music from 7-9. A perfect spot for couples and families.
