The Stone House

A quite comfortable stone-built spacious apartment of 98 square meters, in a complex of a total of four houses of a 19th century mansion, provides all the comforts to enjoy a uniquely unforgettable stay. Built among the centuries-old olive groves in a green neighborhood of the village of Kakodiki at an altitude of 560 meters, it provides a magical view of the mountains of Selinos province. Just 7 kilometers from the town of Kandanos, right at the crossroads of three of the most beautiful beaches of Crete, Paleochora (golden sand), Elafonisi (pink sand) and Sougia (pebble).

The space
The completely renovated stone spacious apartmentof 98 square meters is part of a 19th century mansion. It consists of 2 comfortable air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own fully equipped bathroom. In the spacious living room there is a comfortable corner sofa facing the fireplace and a flat screen TV with satellite channels. The fully equipped kitchen consists of an independent oven with independent ceramic hobs, a fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, a filter coffee machine and an espresso machine as well as all the necessary kitchen utensils to prepare your meals. The comfortable monastery-style wooden dining room can accommodate up to 8 people to enjoy your meals with family or friends. The sunny terrace consists of a garden lounge (sofas - table) under a comfortable umbrella that will give you a magical view of the centuries-old olive groves and the green mountains of Crete.

The 19th century stone mansion is located approximately 1.5km from the main road that connects the coastal village of Paleochora (11km away) with the city of Chania (62km away) which makes it particularly easy to get to the hidden treasures of the area where they are waiting for you to explore them. The use of a vehicle is essential. Just 7km away is the village of Kandanos where you will find everything you need for your stay such as restaurants, cafes, pastry shop, supermarket, butcher, gas station, bank (ATM), health center and much more.

This Stone Country house is situated in Kakodiki village, 62 km from Chania Town and a short drive from an array of beautiful beaches. Paleochora beach is 11 km from the Stone Country house, while historical village of Kandanos is just 7 km away. The nearest airport is Chania International Airport (CHQ), 78 km from the property.
