Iām confused as to why this property has high ratings. When I tried checking in, they told me that I donāt have a reservation, even though I had booked and paid in advance before I left Canada. I told them Iām not leaving and I need a room. I even showed them my booking email confirmation. So after talking to the manager, they gave me a room. The room itself was clean and the washroom was well stocked with toiletries. However, the hotel is right by the road and the rooms are not sound-proof as identified. I didnāt sleep properly the whole night and it felt like I was sleeping on the road with all the traffic noise. In the morning, I asked reception if I could switch to another room as itās too noisy on that side of my room. They said they will let me know.
Since I was only in Kampala for a few days, when I didnāt hear anything by 10am, I decided to check out and find a better hotel.
