The view is incredible. The place did have the feel of a rental property versus a vacation home because of the lack of decor and colorful artwork. We had stayed in a 3 bedroom villa right before this with family and they had used a designer and had so many fun tropical touches that made it feel like home.The bed and pillows were very comfortable and there were plenty of good quality bath and kitchen linens. Oddly, the top sheet on the bed was different from the bottom sheet and pillow cases (which were super soft and luxurious). The unit was clean and offered everything we could want and more!The travertine floors were clean but stained. We have travertine floors in our home too and they do tend to look dirty when not deep cleaned every so often even with regular mopping. Whatever the maids are using on the travertine in the shower has kept it spotless. The double shower heads is also a very nice touch!The beautiful wood floors have buckled at the closet entrance and the door has been removed because of this. I ended up putting sticky notes on the floor as a visual clue because I kept tripping over the bump. We were especially pleased to find a nice box fan in the closet since it is requested the AC not be set lower than 72 degrees. The box fan made it nice. We live in Houston, TX and my husband is use to the over air conditioned spaces so he was nervous about not being able to lower the thermostat. It ended up not being a problem for him though with the fan.
