'what I like about the renaissance hotel is mainly the atmosphere in the hotel. A lot of chinese hotels are beautiful but overwhelming huge. Too high ceilings, too much marmor. The renaissance is more boutique like with good sound and atmosphere. Everything is there, very comfortable but not overdone'

'The hotel is old but relatively well maintained. The beds are really good and the breakfast is amazing! Don’t expect much from the swimming pool tho. Stayed with my family including two kids of 2&4, it was really nice especially the location giving you fast access to Lujiazui and the bund with a taxi as well as some malls on walking distance. People with small kids - please take a 5min taxi from the hotel to the LCM mall, there’s a peppa pig world on the top floor. '
