Motel 6 Mgm’t.

AC Unit in Living/Dining Room leaked steady stream of water on floor. Placed trash can to catch water and would empty 3 times daily to prevent flooding unit. Advised management when I checked in on Monday and requested repair or to be relocated to another property. Requested updates twice daily (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) and was assured the issue would be resolved each day. Repair man showed up Friday evening and determined condensate pump needed to be replaced. New condensate pump was installed Saturday. I cannot recommend staying in this unit nor using Vacasa Management.

I will preface this review by saying that I have traveled a lot, and stayed in all kinds of accommodations in different areas of the world. I had high hopes for this rental based on the photos, but by and large was disappointed. First, the pros: the location was good on the North end of Jaco beach with pretty ocean views off of the balcony. Parking was easy and we appreciated the 24 hr security. It felt very safe there. The layout of the condo was good for a family. Cons: the ceilings were covered in moldy spots in multiple rooms. The upholstered master bed frame looked like a pack of muddy dogs had rubbed up against it for days. The air conditioner in the main living area worked, but constantly dripped water onto the glossy tile floor - we spent the entire week changing out towels under a bucket so that no one would slip. Although the vacation rental company, Vacasa, initially responded quickly by sending someone over to see the a/c problem in person, there was no further response after that despite them promising a technician would come out the next day (5 days with zero contact). If there was a better unit not managed by Vacasa in this building, I would say it might be worth a look, but as far as this particular unit, buyer beware!

Black mold

This property had black mold and when I contacted Vacasa about the mold, they took 24 hours to contact me back and they sent someone to mud over the mold. They did not address the actual issue nor did they communicate any further with me. I am very disappointed in the service that I received. The mini split in the master bedroom also needs work. It did not cool completely and it leaked there was water all over the floor when we woke up one morning.

Beautiful place to stay. You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers, or sit in the pool area and soak up the sun. Great gated community for a wonderful week.

Best property in Jaco.

Building, room, amenities were immaculate. The view from the balcony overlooking the beach was spectacular. The staff was amazing. I can't go into specifics but the security guard on night duty did his job and protected us from what could have been a bad situation. This place is by far my favorite of the trip. Would book again in a flash. I suggest you do as well.

BLACK MOLD STAY AWAY

The condo is beautiful as shown in pictures. Should have paid more careful attention to previous reviews. We stayed for only one night of the seven booked. We were graciously relocated to another area and condo in Jaco. The Vasco team were a delight to work with. There was obvious mold in the master bedroom and bath. The smell was horrible and was so bad that we were concerned about health risks of staying in this environment. The second bedroom also showed evidence of mold but it was not as extensive. There was evidence of previous attempts to resolve the problem but these were not successful. We were surprised the condo was still being rented. Would not recommend this unit.

The staff and location is excellent, the mold not so much

This property is the best property in Jaco. Right on the beach, walking distance to everything, and excellent sunsets. The mold however in this particular unit was extremely unhealthy and unacceptable. The staff was willing to try t help and sent someone within a few minutes of my concerns to clean the AC and try to mask the smell of mold, but unfortunately the smell did not go away.

Relaxing, yet right in the action of Jaco Beach

Super clean and spacious rental with immersive views. Beach was steps away, with all downtown restaurants and activities with less than 10 min walk. Security for the car with ample parking was superb. Beds were all very comfortable as were the couches and chairs. Lovely stay in a beautiful unit

Beautiful accommodations and great location

Loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the ocean view. Unit is spacious and well equipped. For some reason we couldn't get the kitchen faucet to dispense hot water--which would be less of a problem if there had been dishwasher detergent--but we got by. Pool is beautiful and the water pleasantly warm (as is the ocean). It was a short walk to many restaurants. One bar/restaurant is immediately next door so you can walk only a few feet (in beachwear) for refreshment.

Great location. Amazing views. Spacious and well accomodated living space.

Really enjoyed the condo. The view from the 6th floor balcony was amazing. We spent many hours watching the surfers and enjoying the sunsets. Location right on the beach was super convenient and a very short walk to a number of good restaurants. Only issue we had was an overwhelming smell of ammonia when we arrived. Tried to air it out but it was there the three days of our trip.

The condo provided our family of 4 ample space to eat, sleep, play cards, read books and get to the beach and pool fast! The gated entrance provides security but the location is an easy walk to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. Jaco is a do-able drive from the airport in San Jose and also to zip lining and Manual Antonio National Park (our favorite excursions of the week.)
