The primary reason for the low score is: We had an issue with the stove the first morning while cooking breakfast. While we were cooking the glass stove top began to crack with the heat. As it cooled down it continued to crack. We called the owner as soon as we realized it was happening and reported the problem. We were unable to use the stove for the remainder of our stay as we had planned. There was no indication during our phone call that we would be blamed for the stove top cracking. A week later I notice an 1150 dollar charge on my card from VRBO for the repair of the stove. Repeated attempts were made but the owner refused to discuss it with me. He claimed to VRBO that we dropped something on the stove but that is simply not true. If something was dropped it was prior to our arrival.The property was also described as 2 bath but the water was turned off to the hall shower during our stay. We didn’t report this and just lived with it because at the time we didn’t want to further bother the owner. Now, with the issue with damage claim, I wish I had. We have stayed at rentals like this for 20 years and never had a problem. We always take care of places we stay and have never thought we would have an issue like this. This experience makes me question future rentals through VRBO because there was no attempt to get any info from us, just an 1150 charge. The property is nice, but I cannot recommend it due to the false claim and lack of communication regarding it.

Great July 4th stay!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay! Everything was as described & CLEAN. We have stayed at Forest Ridge in the past, but this was our first time in this unit. We were all very pleased & would definitely stay again!

Well equipped kitchen, v good appliances and furnishings, linens were excellent and layout suited our group perfectly. When we arrived we could not get the TV to work and the internet bandwidth was not sufficiently strong for all our devices and TV to stream. The track lights in the dining area, first bedroom and living room were out. The ceiling in the first bedroom closet was peeling and flakes fell on our clothing. There were a few small cracks in the frig shelving and a misc knob sitting on a frig shelf.

I was mislead on the location and the commutation with the host was absolutely unacceptable

I requested the proximity of the TPC sawgrass and was told 29 min. It was actually 79 minutes. After an apology from the host I requested a refund after the first night stay and never received a response.

TVs and Remotes

We were challenged with operating the remotes for the living room TV and while we did get on to the TV eventually the sound went away and the alternate remote had sound options did not work. In the master bedroom nothing worked. We worked around it by using closed captions and reading the conversationsOur suggestions are 1) have your housekeepers test the remotes and replace batteries 2). It would be helpful to have a guide in your welcome package to operate the TVs. We have never used ROKU however are familiar with streaming services but we were lostWe enjoyed the space, it suited our overall needs Thank you

Girls Trip

Friends since kindergarten and before get together every year and this year Amelia Island was our choice. Our condo at the Lazy Turtle Too was great. Our hosts was very gracious when we contacted them. The walk to the beach was not accessible for a bunch of 76 year old ladies but they were within a short car ride. We found it easy to get around and a good time was had by all.

Great trip

We come to Amelia every year and always stay at Forest Ridge. This was our first time in this unit and we will definitely be back. Everything was clean and there was plenty of room for my husband, 2 kids and I. We were happy there were beach chairs and beach towels to use. We had a great time.

Fantastic Sister Trip!

This property was perfect for our sister trip (4 of us)! The location is quiet and feels secluded, but it's only a short walk to the beach & close to restaurants, the grocery & other shops. The property was very clean & the kitchen was well equipped for all of our meals. We recommend this rental! Best Forest Ridge Condo

Looking for peace, tranquility, and a renovated condo? Look no further. We have stayed in a dozen Forest Ridge condos over the years and the is was by far our favorite. It is located in the back of the condo which for us was a benefit even though the trek to the beach was longer. It was so quiet and private compared to other condos in the complex. We highly recommend this condo and will certainly be back next year!

The property is clean and well stocked. The amenities at the complex are great. It's a short walk to the beach and a short drive to downtown Fernandina Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully come back again!

Perfect trip!

We had a great visit! The condo was a perfect size for our group of 5. The kitchen was well stocked with all the things we needed to cook meals. They also have beach chairs and beach toys to use. It was all very clean. My kids enjoyed the little playground on property, the pool, and feeding lettuce to the turtles in the pond. Beach access is definitely walkable from the condo, but we opted to drive because my 75 year old mom was with us. We went to Burney Park on American Beach and Main Beach Park and found ample parking at both. The condo is also a quick drive to downtown, Boneyard Beach, and Fort Clinch. Fort Clinch is not to be missed if you want to collect some beautiful seashells. We met the owners Andy and Sandy on our visit and they were so kind and welcoming! We'd definitely stay in The Lazy Turtle Too again!
