The name on the unit was different than was in the listing and being unfamiliar with the property we thought we were at the wrong set of villas; the keypad sticks and you have to get very close to read the numbers—especially in the dark with no porch light left on (rep said. It they’d known we were coming in after dark they would have left the light on but one never knows with traffic and horrible storms that the arrival was later than anticipated) leave the light on regardless!

Superb location

Loved the first floor location with minimal steps to manage. Also loved the very private patio out back. Clean, well-appointed, with nice upgrades to keep it feeling new and fresh. Only issue we had was there isn’t a shower or hose access (that we could find) for washing feet/shoes/chairs after being on the beach.

Plumbing issues

There were several issues with the toilets, not flushing.There were also issues with the showers not draining.The guest bathroom shower needs an “accessible” hand bar or rail for the senior adult renters who are afraid of falling in the shower

Wonderful New Year’s stay

Condo was perfect…just as pictured! A quick walk to the beach. For New Year’s Eve, we had a great dinner at one of the Omni hotel restaurants and we were able to see the fireworks at midnight. Management answered all of our questions about the area. Would definitely return.

Beautiful Omni Rental

We have been vacationing on the Omni (formerly the Plantation) for years. This was one of the nicest units we have ever rented. Very tasteful beach decor. The kitchen had everything we needed and was bright and open. Check in was super easy and they left a welcome basket. Our family loved this unit and I hope to stay here again.

Our first trip to Amelia Island Florida couldn’t have been more perfect then staying at this VRBO! Very immaculate! Very well stocked kitchen! Coffee maker could have been better!Plenty of towels! Comfortable beds and beach items provided! We felt very safe in this gated community property!

Nice place and close to beach

This condo was in a great location. The beds were comfortable and the management was responsive when we needed additional items. The beach was really close a few minutes walk across the street. It would have been nice if the patio table was a little bigger with more chairs. The table was barely big enough for breakfast for 2 people. The main attraction was the location. We stayed a month and greatly enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable unit - note there are STAIRS

I stayed for 6 nights, and was happy with my choice. Pros • Great location in a lovely, wooded area; plenty of parking (at least this time of year!). Bike path right out front, beach a short walk across the street (5-10 mins max). Easy access to anywhere on the island / 20 mins to the historic downtown area. • Quiet, safe area • Unit was very clean. Comfortable bed, nice hot shower, kitchen well stocked; TV had many (if not all) of the streaming services • Excellent customer service from the host company, Destination Amelia Inc. (see below for details) Cons • The unit is only accessible by STAIRS leading up from the parking area. This info was not included in the description when I made the reservation. Yes, the unit is ground level, but the building is situated higher than the parking area, and stairs connect the two. Just something to keep in mind if anyone in your party has mobility issues (in my case it was my arthritic senior dog). Excellent customer service • I experienced significant problems with the washing machine two nights before my departure. I notified Destination Amelia that night, and the customer service I received was outstanding. Professional, understanding, courteous; No hassles or arguments. Someone came out the next day to look at the machine, and determined it could not be repaired. The team quickly helped with a solution and made the situation “right” for me. What could have been a unpleasant ending to an otherwise wonderful stay was avoided – thanks to great customer service!

Great place near beach!

This was a well maintained & stocked unit. There are beach towels & two chairs as well. Very clean and comfortable! Close to restaurants within the Omni resort and the beach. The villa pool is not heated, so would really only be useable in the summer. We were very comfortable during our stay here and would return!

Great Amelia Island Condo in Omni's Amelia Plantation

A great location, very close to the beach and perfect for 2 people. Very dog friendly building, property and island. Loved the access to walking, biking, restaurants, activities, state parks, etc. We'll be back!

A great location for a relaxing vacation!

Comfortable, well-appointed condo convenient to shops and restaurants. It was a great place to just sit still and soak up our vacation. The weather wasn’t terribly cooperative, but there was plenty to do on the Plantation and in Fernandina’s historic district. We had one “ask” from the management company and they responded by the time we got back from lunch with the item we needed.

Comfortable family vacation!

We loved this beautiful condo-it was so well-stocked with napkins, salt and pepper and soap—all the things we always forget at the store. I really appreciated this feature as I haven’t had this in a rental before. The property is beautiful-we enjoyed the pathways for walks and biking. I wish the property map was easier to read-never really figured out the hotel’s restaurants, mainly ate in the historic district and at Fernandina Beach. The Beach access was a little farther down the road than expected but the pool was so close. We stopped there to rinse the sand off our feet after the ocean and rinse chairs. If there was a place at the condo to rinse off, I didn’t know about it. Overall, we loved it-great layout, location-we had a wonderful vacation!
