The service was exceptional, after arriving at 01.00 hrs with traffic delays, meals were arranged through a take out service and served on plates together with wine on the beatifull rooftop terrace overlooking the Bospurus. Handy locatiob to many of the attractions in Istanbull. We will be back for a number of days again next year

Het hotel zit op een hele goede locatie. We werden warm onthaald. Helaas was dit niet het hele verblijf zo. Als we langs de receptie liepen werden we niet eens gedag gezegd of de receptionist zat buiten op een stoel te roken. Er was 1 receptionist die wel telkens erg vriendelijk was. Verwacht geen luxe, het hotel is basic. De schoonmaak kan beter, vooral in deze tijd. Midden in de nacht kwam het personeel met nieuwe gasten onze kamer binnen. Wij schrokken hier heel erg van want we lagen gewoon te slapen. Gelukkig hadden we het pinnetje van het slot erop zodat niet de hele deur open ging. In de ochtend vertelde we dit bij de receptie en toen hoorde we dat het personeelslid de verkeerde kamer had. Heel onprofessioneel en slecht.

Toplocatie van het hotel en super fijne mensen die daar werken. Ontbijt was prima. Nadeel de wanden leken van papier waardoor wij bijna niet geslapen hebben.

We had some problems for the tv that they could not fix. Staff is really helpful. Breakfast buffet was good. They helped you a lot at front desk with attractions and getting around. It was close to major sites.

L'hôtel est très bien situé, à 5 minutes à pied de la place Sultanahmet. Le quartier est calme, la chambre propre et le staff de l'hôtel très accueillant et sympa. Cependant, nous remarquons certains aspects à améliorer : la porte de notre chambre ne fermait pas correctement, la tv ne fonctionnait pas non plus et les prises d'électricité dans la salle de bain devraient être remplacées (certaines peuvent court-circuiter).

Great View But
Very nice view of Sea of Marmara near entrance to the Bosporus. But noise from the bar and restaurant directly above kept me awake until 04:00. And jacuzzi bathtub advertised in the Hotels.com listing could not be used because of leaks (it appears this was a long-term problem).

Definitely a good stay at Artefes!
Excellent Value for location and accommodations. Also the staff are super helpful. The morning/day staff spoke English very well, while evening staff were less so but still very energetic to help. The breakfast and upstairs terrace are really good, very surprised at this. The rooms are good value.. The beds are okay, though a small update for the pillows would be much appreciated. Cleanliness very good and again the staff... wow, really found the staff to be awesome.

Overall, I was happy with my stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the location was great and the free breakfast with a view was a plus. Three areas of improvement: I wouldn’t liked to have had a light blanket provided instead of just a sheet. The above shower head didn’t work and the handheld shower piece didn’t fit into the holder, so I had to either hold it with one hand and wash my hair with the other, or try to balance it so I could use two hands to wash my hair, but then it would always fall. Also, the TV didn’t work. I would’ve liked to have caught up on some news.

Excellent stay for cheap travelling couple
We are a couple that prioritizes a clean room and a location close to the action, and this did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly helpful in helping us organize a taxi back to the airport (which was cheaper than the bus they have available) as well as arranging a fun river cruise. Though the lock on the door was wobbly and there was a strange yellow substance around the doorframe in the washroom (it looked liked someone forgot to clean up after the renovations) overall it was perfect for our trip! Breakfast was lovely also, and was served by friendly staff. Different foods were available on different days, and it was so much fun to try different Turkish dishes.

Everything was great about this property except one thing that they need to work more on the mattress because they are not so comfortable same with the pillows.

Pros: - Good location - Nice view from rooftop Cons: - The hotel is way older than it looks in photos. - The bathroom is very small. Especially the shower booth is so small that one can hardly move (and I am not a big man). Overall, it was okay, but I believe one should get more value for the money.
