Everything was nice as far as the optics are concerned with this property. The part that made this a very poor experience is that I never got refunded for the room that I didn't get. Upon arrival, I was told that they never received the message on the balcony room upgrade that I paid for and that I needed to stay in the standard room the first night and would have my balcony room for the 2nd night. On top of that inconvenience, their key cards weren't working either so we had to be escorted to the elevator, our room, and any other room that required key card access. The staff member I dealt with (Ashley I believe) said at the time that she would give us a free bottle of wine to help make up for these inconveniences especially after I told her how upset my wife was about all of this and I had to take a lot of heat from her about it. We never received the bottle of wine AND we were denied getting a refund for the extra money I spent on having a balcony room that I did not receive on our first night there. Expedia, Travel Guard, and the hotel have all failed to remedy this situation which makes me feel like I was scammed by all 3 companies and wasn't even offered so much as a gift card or anything to apologize about these inconveniences me and my family had to go through during and after our stay there. I will most likely never use any of these 3 companies again unless I have no other choice.
