« What a terrific spot! The bar was comfy, and cosy; the room clean, and tastefully decorated with a comfy bed, and wonderful view of the viaduct and Whernside. And, the fish & chips - exceptional! For us, the staff made our stay, Will, Courtney, Angela, & Val, couldn't do enough for us, despite a very busy bank holiday weekend. Thank you, we had a great evening and a cracking breakfast to boot. »

« From check in to check out the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. In fact, from when you pull into the car park you get the feeling it’s a special place. The building is a beautifully well maintained old building with some rather stunning modern extras. The room we had was spacious and beautifully presented, with a very comfy bed! « Excellent stay. Room clean and comfortable. Room didn’t match the picture with a separate shower cubicle but the bath did have a shower head attachment so it wasn’t an issue. It is an old property so don’t picture everything to be perfect but again nothing affected the stay. Restaurant was good with main and special menus. The breakfast was excellent and included with the price so overall it was excellent value. Would definitely recommend. »

The pub itself is gorgeous, decorated beautifully, it is cosy and inviting and located in a lovely spot by the stream.Although the actual car park itself was small this was no problem as we parked literally a couple of minutes away on the lane, perfect as it allowed the opportunity to see a tiny red squirrel busy in a nearby tree. There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues.
