The staff were great—super friendly, welcoming, and helpful from the moment we checked in. On top of that, the location is fantastic and made it incredibly easy to get around. 'This hotel is outdated and poorly maintained. Although it’s marketed as a full-service hotel, housekeeping isn’t actually provided - despite a sign in the room directing guests to call reception for it. When we called, our request was ignored. We also found bugs in our bed and reported it, but nothing was done. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this hotel; it falls well below acceptable standards in Australia.'

'The owners were great even let us late check out without extra charge due to circumstances. They were friendly and the cleaning staff were amazing with our little ones also. only thing I could say is the parking spaces are tight so if the place is full and u have a bigger car get in early or u will struggle a bit but luckily it wasn’t completly full so still 3-4 spaces left.'

'Being winter there was no extra blankets. Air conditioner cut in and out every 5-10 minutes so the room didn’t stay warm. There were very rowdy people in other rooms carrying on till late in the night.'

'On arrival there was no visible reception, which was surprising given how busy the weekend was. It was very confusing to find our accommodation and we had to call multiple times before anyone answered. The room provided was not the one we booked, and the property looked very run-down. Perhaps new owners but they certainly weren’t very helpful. Rooms were not serviced.For $1,000 for two nights, it was definitely not worth the money and would say, was the worst place we’ve stayed in Pokolbin. Very...

'Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. '
