« The Holiday Inn Express in Topeka was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful the breakfast buffet was hot and lots of choices the room was clean and everything was in working order I would stay there again »

« Aside from the one young lady that checked us in and wasn’t very helpful, the rest of the stay was great. The courtyard is beautiful and offers the best place to relax. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the amenities were abundant. We had the brunch buffet the two days we were there and the staff and food was excellent both times. We will be back to stay again. »

« Everything was great except for when we got there Friday the 10th in the afternoon the short Hispanic lady was on the her phone speaking to friend or boyfriend cause when we stood in front of her she ignored us until my wife got her attention and you can tell while getting our room card she had a bad attitude look on her face cause we disturbed her cell phone moment. « Overall the stay was fine for what I paid. My issue is that I was overchargered. I paid for my room through a third party site, then put down a card for the $50 incidental charge which I was told I would get back at check out. After checkout, I doubled checked my account and found that they charged me an additional $92. I went to the front desk, wasn't offered an explanation but was given a refund and a reciept. « I was kicked off the property because my ride from Topeka was late, I have a prosthetic leg and it took me a while to get it on and move my belongings to the Casey's next door, and they stood there until I was done moving my stuff and after I moved they still continued staring at me and when asked if I was off their property they didn't respond, I'd never had a problem until my ride was late. « I just needed a simple place to stop and get some sleep, and this fit the bill. The registration staff were excellent—they were totally prepared for my arrival, and check-in was a breeze with zero issues. The bed was comfortable, and the AC was already cranking at a chilly 59 degrees when I walked in, which was great. « I don't understand the average review rate... My room was strongly smelling cigarette even if it is supposed to be non-smoking room and it was not that clean. At the breakfast there were no more eggs and regular coffee. The only employee I saw seemed too busy to take care of all these details. The AC was so so. I understand it's under renovations but they don't even seem to try to make up for that. On the positive side it was quiet until about 7:30 when the construction workers started. ...

« I arrived tired and was directed to a side door for entrance. The room key did not open the exterior door, so I had to drag my luggage back to the main desk. The clerk did not issue a new key, assuring me that my room would open. It did not. I went back to get a new key and slid into my bed too tired to look for dinner.
