Overall, an okay stay â spacious home in a nice neighborhood, but disappointing upkeep and host responsivenessWe recently stayed at this property and appreciated the space it offered, as well as the quiet and pleasant neighborhood. It had potential to be a really great stay, but unfortunately, the cleanliness and maintenance left a lot to be desired.At first glance, the house appeared clean, but once we settled in and moved things around, we found a few concerning signs that it hadnât been thoroughly cleanedâlike a milk cap left on the counter, toothpaste spots on mirrors, and a used name tag left upstairs. The house also had a weird musty smell. The pool also wasnât clean.When I reached out to the host to let them know, they offered to send a cleaner the next dayâwhich I appreciatedâbut the cleaner never came and there was no follow-up. That lack of follow-through was probably the most disappointing part of the stay. This property wasnât cheap, and as paying guests, we expected a bit more care and attention.There were also several maintenance issues that detracted from the experience: a broken light fixture over the kitchen island, old leak stains on the ceilings, bird nests and a fly infestation on the patio, and even a loose electrical wire that was concerning.The home has good bones and could be a great rental with more attention to detail and guest care. Hopefully, the host takes this feedback seriously.
