'I arrived late at the hotel and decided to take a shower before bed. When I opened the bed after showering, one side of the linnen had some blood on it. Disgusting. '

'This place is a gem! There is a bus that is a block away and takes 20 minutes to Stansted Airport. The room we had was wonderful: beautiful bed linens, Turkish bath robe, lovely decor, and a beautiful, healthy, breakfast in the fridge that included a very fresh and attractive fruit platter. The little touches like the coffee machine, toaster, and excellent bread, butter, jams, fresh milk, pretty china cups and plates, made us feel we were in a real home. Martha Stewart could not have done...

'Overall the place was clean, but definitely needs some renovation. The television did nit work properly, the bathroom is outdated and the door didn’t close properly. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was also decent wifi but the choice of what to watch on the television waa quite limited with no satellite. Decent place for a short stay.'

'Family room booked for three adults. Arrived to find two single beds. Booking confirmation states someone would be there to greet us. No-one was around. Fortunately we got through to somebody by phone and were able to get into the room but they were not able to provide us anywhere to stay for the three adults we had booked and paid for.
The floor, bedding and toilet were clean. However, the windows were covered in cobwebs, the chairs were stained, there were not enough cups for all three of us,...

'A very comfortable country pub, with great food, top chef and well kept beer. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble.
My room was a tad small and basic but the bathroom was modern and hey this is a 16th century building and I enjoyed my stay.'

'No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay.
Bathroom was comparatively clean but also like the rest of the room very tired in appearance. Car park can be a little cramped, and can make...

'The bar maid was very argumentative. We told her we had a reservation to which she informed us that they do not take reservation for less than 6 people. When the professional gentleman returned he took us to our table which had our room number on it.
Furthermore, she proceeded to serve a tall, good looking man who approached the bar way after we had been standing a waiting.'
