'This property is a true oasis. The rooms are top notch with all the amenities. The food is great. We stayed in the Riverside Villa Hideaway. We watched toucans in the trees while enjoying our private hot tub...doesn't get better than that! We were celebrating our anniversary, and the staff made it extra special with champagne and love decorations in our room. They were super friendly and helpful every day. The location is great. We had rented car, so everything was easily within driving...

'They were very nice and helpful, but the building itself was slapshod. It looked worn and was built by someone who was not a carpenter. They charged more than a much nicer motel we had stayed in just the day before. The breakfast was great, and the people were very nice.'

'We had a good stay (for 4 nights) at Eco Arenal. The grounds are very green and well taken care of. We loved the animals that we saw from the garden: monkeys, tucans and lots of very pretty birds.
The room was spacious and clean. We liked the fact that there was a fridge. As we had a room on the ground floor, we had a nice place to sit outside.
The breakfast was good. Many options for both local and international preferences. The staff was also kind and responsive.

'It was absolutely beautiful place to stay. The food was delicious but could get pricey for a family of four. Breakfast was good but not many choices. Had to rent everything (paddles for tennis, etc). Pools were nice but not as large as i thought they showed on the pictures. Very safe, didn’t get to see a lot of wild life. River is a beautiful sound. Very private and the staff were all amazing.'

'Staff were so helpful and it was easy to book excursions through the hotel. Good, central location. Bring cash - dollars or colones - for booking excursions. Recommend sloth tour with Armando if you have kids, and any of the excursions with Hotel Los Lagos as they end in hot springs and natural cool pools with water slides and a wet bar.'

'Desayuno muy agradable y variado, la atención agradable solo un tema de la regadera no funcionaba y quisimos contactarnos con el encargado y fue imposible, tuvimos que estar mucho tiempo tratando de arreglarlo. Y la ventana no estaba tan asegurada porque entró una lagartija.
