Overall, the Tasman is a beautiful hotel. It is well-located with easy walkability to restaurants/shopping. However, as someone who is a loyal Marriott user, I was a bit disappointed with my overall experience - not only did it seem disorganized - ex. multiple charges were not posted to my account on checkout - I was honest and told them that they were not charged, but if staff do not have the protocols to post charges appropriately, it should not be on the patron to remind them (frankly, I should not have said anything because it wasn't just one charge, it was multiple and the only benefit for my honesty was that I got charged when I wouldn't have otherwise). In addition, when I walked into my room, there were crumbs from what seemed like a croissant around the desk and in the bed, which made me question the degree of cleanliness. Finally, both the window in the bathroom and bedroom look directly to the street and the only way to use the bathroom without having people from the road looking at you is to completely close the blinds, which automatically open every time you enter the room, which became a nuisance.
