'Je krijgt een oude versleten kamer in een trainings instituut in een mooie bosrijke omgeving. Probleem is dat men ingesteld is op 1 persoon per kamer dus als echtpaar moet je samen in een smal bed en in de ochtend krijg je 1 schone handdoek, een 2e moet je vragen. We kregen bij aankomst een oude kamer en op verzoek heeft men ons de nieuwste kamer gegeven met super tv en nieuw uiterlijk, dus service is ok'

'We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chestnut Tree. Lisa, the host was the main reason, she is a great communicator which is important when booking. She was so very helpful with local information and incredibly kind. Our room was beautiful and the amenities in the bathroom delightful. The area is beautiful but with only one night, we didn’t get the change to do much exploring. Next time. Thank you Lisa for a wonderful stay.'

'Oh my Goodness where do I start! Jon, Nick, Laura and the lovely woman who cooked my breakfast were all so helpful and accommodating! Its such a beautiful Bed & Breakfast, with a quiet and relaxing back patio to enjoy with your free beverages, and a lounge area too. My room was so comfortable. 'Used the hotel as a base when visiting family in the local area. Nice location, very safe. All staff were professional and friendly. Rooms in both the annex and main hotel were spacious and clean, the main hotel perhaps feeling a little more modern. Great breakfast with both continental and hot fresh foods to order. Staff in the restaurant were exceptional! We were offered a fan in our room but it did little in the recent heatwave - totally not the hotel’s fault!! But perhaps consider...

'Good place for a short stay. Busy road in front of the rooms until ~11 pm. Nice places to sit inside & outside the pub. Atmosphere is very friendly and the Engish Breakfast was good.'

'Room was TINY. Smelt of toilets and woken by multiple church bells at 5 am. No staff at breakfast time. Cereal and toast. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not worth the money.'

'Staff were friendly and helpful . The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Only thing I wasn't keen on was the ac didn't cool the room as much as id like. So convenient to just walk out in the morning and go straight to departures. Will definitely stay again next time I'm flying from Gatwick'

'As another reviewer stated, it's a bit quirky in decor and furnishings. Needs heavier drapes or shades on windows and layout of the family "suite" unusual with access to the tiny loo room and shower through the smaller bedroom, which doesn't have a door. Lovely host, good coffee/tea selection.'
