'Adequate for the price. '

'Breakfast was good, rooms were nice and new, staff was friendly. The bed was comfy, but the room we were in had pretty loud HVAC. It took a while to fall asleep as it had a low whine consistently. Otherwise no issues. '

'I thought I had booked a room with 2 queen beds but when we checked in only the handicap room was available with two double beds. It wasn't a problem but I felt bad taking up them handicap room in case someone who really needed it showed up and needed a room. The check in lady said it was the only room available. It was really nice that the hotel is connected to the restaurant so you don't have to go outside. The computer was not working when we checked in and there was 4 people there waiting...

'I travel to Iowa City monthly, and two of my usual hotels have recently closed, so I finally decided to try the Garden Inn. It has always been a little more expensive, but this was a celebration weekend, so we went for it. Overall, we had a good time. The parking garage was being renovated, and I still had to pay $15 to park in a farther garage across the street. Not a huge deal, but a helpful heads-up for other travelers. 'The room smelled and felt very cold and not welcoming at all. The bathroom almost felt like a jail cell. The tub faucet always dripped and the shower water was cold/maybe a dash of warm. The floors were dusty, the tv remote didn’t work and the plug in’s for the lamps didn’t work. We stayed there as it was close to Iowa City hospital and my husbands mom is in the icu. We will find a different hotel next time.'

'We were greeted by a large private security guard who stared us down and blocked our entrance to the front desk to check in! Not the experience we were expecting. It felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. I felt like if I would have said anything the guard would have stopped me and made me leave. 'This hotel is amazing! Convenient to the University of Iowa and Downtown Iowa City. The rooms are large and comfortable and the breakfasts are unbelievable!!! Made to order - amazing! Do not hesitate to stay here! You will love it. '

'My week-long stay in Coralville was great. The room was quiet and clean. The location was convenient for me, visiting a family member at nearby Summit. The best part of the stay was the service provided by the staff, who were friendly and helpful. The night clerk helped me with a very late check-in and greeted me on my return each night. “Iowa Nice” for sure. Many thanks, and I will return on my next visit to Coralville.'

'The breakfast was good but go early because not all items are refilled. The floor of the tub/shower in our room need to be resurfaced as parts of the surface appeared to be peeling. The bottles of soap and shampoo in the shower were empty. The TV in our room kept buffering and the sound would randomly fade in and out.
