A week at Island Time

A lovely property for our family get together, in a spectacular location. Would definitely stay here again. The only problem is that our time in Island Time passed far too quickly !

Perfect Retreat

The house itself was gorgeous and came with everything one needs for a large group. Plenty of space, seating, and cooking implements in the kitchen. The grounds were beautiful with all of the landscaping, the pool, wrap around porch and natural views.

Maine Family Vacation

Amazing property with excellent panoramic views!!! My family loved having a pool and a dock to the Bay to swim in. It’s in the middle of a variety of excellent restaurants and activities! Having coffee and sightseeing for bald eagles was a daily highlight!!!Would love to come back!!!

Lovely property, charming house

This rental has everything you could want for a Maine vacation. Gorgeous water views surround the house, huge interior to spread out with a larger group (we had eight people, including four teenagers, and never felt on top of each other), easy ramp down to the water for the kayaks we rented, and we were able to access a nice hike and lobster dinner within a 15 minute drive. Property managers were extremely responsive for the few issues that came up during our stay.

There are water views from most ALL the rooms and the kitchen has a large glassed in area with bench seating along the windows overlooking the water. Everyone loves a big open kitchen! Large dining room table just off the kitchen & plenty of indoor space for all to relax and enjoy . The large wraparound porch has plenty of comfortable outdoor seating as well. A small pool on property to boot! The grounds are rolling and lush. We always enjoy our Island Time vacation.

With an extended family in tow, we had ample space, and plenty of recreational activities right at the property. We rented from SeaSpray Kayaking, and they were terrific as they deliver right to the house. We kayaked, paddleboarded, and even did a bit of unsuccessful fishing. There was also swimming in the pool and relaxing and reading on the many porches. Island Time is also close to hiking trails, and it is a quick drive to Brunswick for any needed supplies. We loved our stay, and we hope to return in 2026.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for four nights and had such a lovely time. Everyone at mainestay vacations was very kind and attentive. The check in and check out process was super easy as well. The house is gorgeous as well as the views. Lots of coastal new england charm. The house is also very spacious for large gatherings! My husband and I had some trouble with the king bed being pretty uncomfortable, but the hosts offered to reimburse us for purchasing a mattress pad for it which was very kind and really improved our sleep! The rest of the beds were comfortable except that one. Cleanliness in most areas was great except for the kitchen unfortunately. The only oven mitts in the kitchen were covered in dog hair, which is odd because we didn’t see dog hair anywhere else. There was also a used straw in one of the drawers and some dirty silverware along with things from other guests that maybe should’ve been tossed out. It wasn’t too bad but it could’ve been cleaner, everywhere else was great! It wouldn’t deter me from booking again! The serenity of the property is the main draw. It’s quiet and tucked away without being too far from town, and the views are stunning.

The amazing water views from just about every single room are beautiful! The sprawling lawn & lovely landscaping offer such beauty topping off the total experience. The house is very spacious and so nicely decorated . We rented kayaks from Seaspray Kayaks , swam in the pool, used the grill for many of our meals (kitchen is well stocked w/all pots , pans & utensils needed). Just a super home & can’t wait to return! Scenic Peace and Quiet, Together with Privacy

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was gigantic and incredibly well-appointed with a 240 degree view of the Casco Bay. So many indoor and outdoor sitting spaces including a sunroom built into the kitchen. Porch time was everyone's favorite and we absolutely saw the lobstermen/person checking their traps right in front. Kayaking off the dock was incredible. Because the house is so large, the space works best for a multigenerational family that wants a combination of together time and privacy. We celebrated my mother's 80th birthday and it was a time for all to remember. In addition to raving about the property, I cannot say enough good things about Marcy and Darcie from MaineStay vacations. They provide clear instructions, are incredibly responsive, and yet relaxed and generous. It helps that they are local and know all of the best local businesses and spots. Much better than VRBO or AirBNB!

From morning coffees to evening happy hours, the wraparound deck provided the most relaxing venue. We had plenty of fun kayaking, exploring the grounds, taking a dip in the pool, and enjoying family time together in the most gorgeous setting. House was clean with everything we needed for cooking in and making the most of our stay. We look forward to returning next year!

We are a family of seven adults and two young children under five, and we had plenty of space. The beautiful grounds include a pool, a dock, sprawling lawns and perennial gardens which overlook the water. The porch gave us plenty of room to enjoy morning coffee and afternoon drinks. The lawns provided ample space for several games. We kayaked and paddle boarded from the dock. The adult children noted this was one of their favorite vacations, and the grandchildren didn't want to leave the pool. We hope to return to this special place next year.
