'Matt at the front desk answered all of our questions and was always available to point you to the hot coffee and tea or ice water that was available all the time. The room was super comfortable. The free breakfast was amazing and provided many healthy options and a few treats as well. My family and I would highly recommend the Fairfield Inn in Orillia. '

'This was a quick, one-night stay after returning from a trip. Upon entering the hallway, there was a strong smell of cigarettes and other musty odors. The keypad to the room door barely worked, and it took several minutes to get it open. The hotel rooms themselves were in poor condition—when I pulled out a chair to hang my coat, a piece of the desk was broken off and just lying on the chair. Thankfully, no one sat on it. I’m grateful this was only a one-night stay, as I would not recommend this...

Would not stay here again when in the neighborhood'

'All the staff at the hotel that we had encountered were amazing. Friendly, and very helpful. We were upgraded to a suit as our room was not ready upon arriving. Great room, great lobby. Breakfast was great. Hotel is in a good location. Would highly recommend. '

'Barrie Ontario is a snow town, and that's fine, but when you have a hotel in this town and you get alot of snow, then you should remove it...this hotel had massive snow piles that took up a 1/4 of their parking, their wasn't enough room for paying customers to park, they had to park in neighbouring companies and hope they didn't get a ticket.'

'Property is quite warn, seemingly long overdue for a face lift. Ie: laminate was peeling off the doors. Priced well over its value. Confusing layout makes it difficult to get around; would not be very friendly if you have accessibility issues. '
