'We had booked one night stay via Expedia in dale- gudbrandsgard hotel . At the website was written : you will be welcomed at the reception , the person will welcome you. Instead a computer was obliged for check in. WiFi code was only available after our complaint via emailing Expedia. The lobby , reception area , sitting all closed. The restaurant would be opened at 7 pm. Unfortunately nobody was there, no dinner possible so we had to drive to Ringebu for dinner elsewhere. So our conclusion :...
'It’s important to remember it’s a hostel so the bathrooms are separate and walking distance outdoors. The rooms are clean and the staff is excellent and very helpful. We didn’t have time to eat dinner but the prices at the hostel are extremely reasonable compared to other restaurants so it’s worth eating there instead of other places. The breakfast is typical Scandinavian so think continental with yogurt, bread, fruit, lunchmeat and cheeses.'
'We visited in summer. The hotel was quiet but still with plenty of atmosphere. It was lovely to have the swimming pool almost to ourselves. We had a very enjoyable three course meal. The chef made sure we had a suitable vegetarian starter and main course.
Although we only spent one night on our way elsewhere we were very impressed with the staff, food and amenities.'
