I stayed here for 22 nights from the 15th of April until the 5th of May to attend the Canton Fair in Guangzhou. The property is quite nice and has plenty of formal and informal places to have business meetings. The rooms are well appointed and the WiFi was fast and consistent and I really appreciated the free shuttle bus to and from the Canton Fair though to be honest most days I caught a Didi back (only about 45RMB - about AUD$10).
For me the staff were the highlight of my stay with the stand outs being Dennis one of the managers who was incredibly helpful. The front desk team always had a happy smile and super helpful. The doormen were awesome - always helpful with a tip on where to go and what to do not just simply to open the car door like some places. The lady who cleaned my room rates a special mention, her smile and effort she clearly put into her job every single day and was super friendly and helpful was awesome - I have travelled to over 40 countries on all 6 continents and never waxed poetic about a cleaner but there you go. The pool is NOT heated so be ready for a chilly dip and the gym has all the basics. The breakfast buffet is defiantly worth getting with your package but get in early to get the best choices and quality.
Lots of places for awesome local food!
It’s on the wrong side of the city for most tourist things but let’s be honest Didi is cheap and not a chore to get around if you have time. I will definitely stay here again for the Canton Fair.
