'This is one of the older Residence Inns, the room had old furniture, very dramb walls, no photos; the toilet bowl color was fading; the kitchen had old appliances; no ice containers; The heating/cooling system (HVAC) was not working correctly. The front desk sent the engineer to check the system. His response, the system was not working correctly because the return air duct for that room was too small for the unit and it would take hours to warm the room. He placed the thermostat on 75 degrees...

'Great that it’s across the street from the beach. Plants on their front porches need some TLC and clean up around the floor where they sit. Old hotel with thin walls and floors, could hear everything on the floor above us. Otherwise, nicely decorated, clean bathroom. I would stay again, but on the top floor.'

'Overall, it was a good, solid place to stay for more than a week. Laid back, and staff that didn't bother you. Nice location, right on the water. No coffee machine in the office nor in the room, so visit Dave at Ma's across the street for a good cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast. A little further down is a 7-11. Avoid Boathouse401 at all costs. They call cops at the drop of a hat. '

'We kregen na een heel hartelijk ontvangst een upgrade naar een kein appartementen met keuken met uitzicht op het zwembad. 10 minuten lopen naar het strand. Supermarkt en restaurants in de buurt. Prima!'

'The Lamplight, as always, was spotless and well-maintained. The location can’t be beat- a block from the beach and super close to restaurants, shops and bars. My only wish is that each room would be supplied with its own Keurig. One of the treats of staying in a motel is waking up and having a coffee in your bedroom before you even get dressed. While coffee is available at the motel, I’d be happier not having to go outside and sometimes downstairs to get my morning caffeine fix!'

'Everything was great only thing for me was there was no microwave in the room and it would been nice to have a coffee pot as well. But they do provide it but you have to walk down and use it..being on the third floor it was a bit inconvenient for me . But great spot and nice environment and the staff are really nice .. and the room was very clean and once again location to beach and downtown is awesome .'

'A good motel for 1 or a couple of days. A little bit dated, but to be honest, that's the charme of a American motel. Very friendly owner, beds are good, breakfast sober but ok and a nice swimmingpool. '

'Exellent location - just 4 houses off of the beach boardwalk! Bernadette (House Mgr) was great! She was super friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Plus, her breakfast that she prepares herself, is wonderful. Stairs are a bit steep, expecially to the third floor, but certainly very manageable. The house is 150 years old, and has so much charm. Our room had sloping floors, drafty windows, tight bathroom quarters, and thin walls....all part of the wonderful charm. Wouldn't change a thing!...

'We had very good time .This was our Valentine’s Day short escape, place clean , stuff very friendly. Easy check in and check out . Good breakfast, but most we liked old , classic and very cozy atmosphere. Definitely we coming back '
