Ontbijt is minder goed dan je zou verwachten voor deze prijs, voor eenvoudige dingen zoals espresso koffie, spek en eieren en verse jus d'orange je moest betalen. een fles water 4 EURO, in de winkels van de dorp was 50 cent. Ook de hoeveelheden waren vrij klein, bijvoorbeeld elke keer wanneer we bestelden yoghurt voor twee personen, één klein bord geserveerd met twee lepels .... perceptie: hotel (eigenaren) zijn teveel berekend om maximale winst.

Mooi kleinschalig hotel op de berg
Geweldig Hotel/suites. Fantastisch uitzicht op zee. Auto is wel aan te raden.. Badkamer, Bed, Koelkast, kamer.... geweldig en schoon. Personeel zij toppers, geven je het echte vakantiegevoel. Het eten in het gezellig bar/restaurant gedeelte het best en met kunde en liefde bereidt. Wij hebben nergens beter gegeten. Kortom TOP. Klein min puntje ...de sneeuwerige TV...maar dat is dan ook alles..

Mooi afgelegen hotel
Goede service, mooie kamers, rustig hotel, hier en daar iets versleten maar over het algemeen een heel goed hotel. Ligt alleen een beetje afgelegen, je kunt er alleen via een klein smal weggetje komen. Beetje minder dus in het donker. Maar een heerlijk verzorgd en relaxt verblijf gehad.

Creta Blue is gewoon een absolute aanrader
Een paar honderd meter boven het verschrikkelijke Chersonissos, zelfs nog boven het dorpje Koutouloufaris, ligt het nieuwe complex van Creta Blue Suite. Moeilijk te vinden, dat wel, maar een heerlijk oord ! Schitterend uitzicht over zee, prachtig ingerichte suites met alle keukenuitrusting, lekker balconnetje en het is er oh zo netjes allemaal. De prijs - kwaliteitverhouding is zeer goed, zeker vanwege het zwembadje voor de deur en de leuke, gezellige inrichting van het restaurant. De vrouw des huizes, Elena, met haar man de bouwer van het complex in 2003 en moeder van de huidige manager is de meer dan voortreffelijke kok. Ontbijt, lunch en diner zijn van grote klasse ! Kortom: heerlijk toeven !!!!

Not 4-star, really dissappointing
Me and my partner stayed in this hotel in early September 2010. While season is coming to an end, the hotel was reasonable well booked. Check-In was special. The taxi that took us uphill and immediately welcomed by the son of the family, immediately followed by the father saying 'Hello my friend!'. Mother was in the reception area and told how good cook she is. Rest of check-in was general and room not ready yet. We waited for 1 hour at the bar at poolside and got a free orange juice. The room was at poolside also (most rooms are more uphill though and not close to the pool!). It is really large, which is definitely a good point. It looked clean. A remote control for the airco (free of charge) was given to us. This airco was located in the bedroom and cools the bedroom only. Other parts (bathroom/living) will not cool down at all. After using the room, it got clear that the hotel is not at a 4-star rating at all. The bed is very hard, and short for me being 1,88m tall. I could not strech in full. A TV is in the bedroom, but only few Greek channels (no CNN, BBC,BVN (Dutch.Flemish),ARD/ZDF etc). Very bad, since the majority of guest are from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. The living also have a small kitchenette with very old heater (2-pits) and you can use it to boil an egg or make a simple soup or so. The large fridge is good, although only running when you occupy the room (you have to put the roomkey in a sensor to have electric power). The bathroom is really the worst one ever experienced. This only deserves 2-star rating at max. It is very small and narrow, especially since the door opens to inside. You can hardly reach the toilet which is behind the opening door. Plus there is no fresh air/cooling, but you can open the window. Be prepared, you'll get lots of mosquitos and other small animals inside your room by doing this. Bathroom amenities are 2x bathgel, 2x shampoo. But, no refills during the stay. We got it once extra on special request. One day (Monday) towels were not replaced with new ones. The bath is ok to use, but using the shower is not nice at all. The shower head cannot be placed on the wall, so you have to hold it in your hands. There is a lot of limescale and water is not running nicely. Also, in later evening water is cold, maybe luke warm at best. Also in the early mornings (8am) no warm water available. This is really bad and should not happen in a 4-star property. The breakfast: It's continental style, but no buffet. You sit down on the terrance between 0900-1100 am (short period!) and staff will bring an exact amount of bread (2x brown, 6x white), 3 butter, 1 marmalade, 1 strawberry jam, 2 slices cheese, 2 slices ham, 1 boiled egg or scrambled (depends on the day) and a dessert (grapes or yogurt/honey). Coffee/tea and orange juice, regular refills on the table. That's it actually, and you have no freedom to take what you like. Also if you plan to go outside for an excursion or early leave, breakfast is only starting at 9am which is not common at all (usually breakfast is from 7am is other hotels). Internet: free wifi is available around poolbar/pool and nearby area. There is no PC/printer facility available to use. Pool: it's an infinity pool, so having a free view to 'nowhere' with the sea in the background. View over Hersonissos city. BEWARE! The hotel website shows a free view. In reality you will have 3 electricity wires in eyesight going horizontal in front of the pool. Also, a large orange coloured parabolic antenna is situated in eyesight on the lefthand side (why there? Why no European TV on the rooms then?). When in the pool, and looking down, a garbage bin is visible on the path below. All of this (powerlines, antenna, garbage) is not visible on the pictures on the hotel website. The images on their website are digitally manipulated and these items are removed ! Also, the depth is max 150cm which is not usual for pools! It's cleaned regularly though, which is good. Around the pool several kinds of beds to use. The newer ones are the best ones, the older (wooden) ones are a bit weak especially when moving around. The cover is plastic, so your towels get wet soon by sweat (no need to swim). They better should have cloth cover or no cover on these beds. Umbrellas are plenty and good to get shade. General: the hotel is located at the far-end of Koutouloufari town. We walked down to Hersonissos every day, also uphill. Takes maybe 15min, but older aged people or young children can have a problem with this. You can use a taxi uphill, but it is not really cheap compared to the short distance actually. Nearby the hotel you'll find several restaurants, 2 supermarkets (1 with fresh bakery), car rental and few other shops with local products for tourists. The street between the shops/restaurants and hotel is not having lampposts, so is really dark at night (all black). Be prepared! Check-Out: invoice for bar/restaurant could not be paid by creditcard. They wanted cash only. We insisted to use creditcard, especially since worldwide in general hotels to accept cards. Also, American Express is not accepted, so take Visa or Mastercard. Conclusion is that this hotel definitely is not rating 4-star, it's 3-star at best, with a 2-star bathroom and the feeling is not freedom. The father (owner) is looking carefully the guests behaviour and he likes you to spend money at his bar/restaurant. It gives a feeling that he starts to dislike you when you go out elsewhere to spend the money on drinks and food. Guests: Mostly Dutch, Flemish (Belgium), British.

I absolutely loved my stay at Creta Blue. I stayed in one of the adult only rooms that had a hot tub on the terrace, overlooking the sea and it was simply magical. The communication and service with hotel staff was easy as can be and everyone was very helpful. I can't recommend this hotel enough!

Quiet and relaxing property up on the cliffs about 25 minutes outside of Heraklion. Great place to get away from the noise and traffic of the city. The rooms are some of the most spacious you will find in the area for the price they offer, although not as modern as the pictures show and a few of the sea view balcony rooms may have their view blocked by the building. There is also not a lot of parking, and you will have to walk up the hill to the rooms, so it's not ideal for anyone out of shape or disabled. I would say for the price, it's an excellent choice for anyone looking for a quiet stay, and there are actually multiple amazing restaurants within walking distance in the quaint and beautiful town of Hersonissos. The pool is also well kept and clean, and the staff is highly accommodating.

We stayed here with our 18month old and they made us feel like family. Nothing was to much trouble. The village was a 5minute walk away with wonderful restaurants and cute shops. We stayed here and on the beach, for an authentic stay in Crete, little could beat this.

Creta Blue is absolutely STUNNING! We were greeted by George the owner of the hotel who is incredibly kind and gracious. You can tell that this hotel is more than a family business, it is a passion project with no details spared. The staff here is wonderful and they really make you feel so comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and it is clear they put a lot of effort into the decor. It feels like a slice of heaven. The views of the ocean are 180 degrees. We had dinner at the restaurant which was fantastic. I highly recommend the shrimp Sagnaki! I would have no hesitation booking this place. It was the nicest accommodation we had in our 2 weeks in Greece!

Die Unterkunft ist schlicht toll gelegen. Die Junior Suite 209 hat einen tollen Ausblick. Das Personal ist unbeschreiblich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wenn man die Chance hat malzufällig das sonst Unbemerkte zu beobachten, dann stellt man fest welche kleinen Details (z.B. durch den super freundlichen Pool-Reiniger=Anlagen Instandhalter) korrigiert werden, dann weiß man, warumdieAnlagein solch tollem Zustand ist. Das kleine angrenzende alte Dorf bietet unzählige wunderschöne Restaurants und es ist durchaus belebt abends. Toll.

Creta Blue was a fabulous property run by George and Helen. The view was breathtaking and the rooms were clean and all had balconies and terraces to enjoy the soft music, the pool and watch everyone relaxing with friends. The restaurant ( Blue Moon ) was right there to enjoy the cuisine. They had specialty nights with BBQ and incredible Greek cuisine. We felt safe and appreciated. George was especially knowledgeable and professional. The cleaning staff was efficient and friendly. You can tell they are well taken care of by the management. It was a romantic getaway at a very good price point. Thankyou to everyone who made our trip a fond memory. We flew 10 hours for this experience and is highly recommended. The service given was fleeting but the memories last forever.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. We had a lovely suite tucked around the back, so was very tranquil. Stunning infinity pool. The hotel is up a steep hill but this means the view is fabulous. The traditional village of Koutoulafari is only 5 or so minutes walk down the hill- laden with traditional tavernas, souvenir shops, a mini golf, car hire places as well as cocktail bars etc. We chose half board which was served at The Blue Moon Restaurant attached to the hotel. The food was amazing.. fresh produce, local meats etc. The waitress Lavinia is the star of the restaurant.

The best place to stay in that area of Crete.
Excellent hotel. Everything was amazing. Good service and food. The view is extraordinary! We want to go back again! Highly recommended to have a car to stay in this hotel. Hotel excelente. An absolutely beautiful property, our room was perfect, so reasonably priced, the food was divine, they even went above and beyond making me special vegetarian dishes to make sure I had more choice than originally on the menu but what really made this property so lovely for us was the unbelievably kind hearted and special staff. All so lovely, and warm and made us feel so at home from day one. We will be back ASAP!! Jess and Alex xx

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable week staying at Creta Blue Boutique Hotel. Giorgio”s family and staff could not have made us feel more welcome or valued as customers. The Hotels”s “Blue Moon” restaurant and wine bar was a real surprise as we had not expected such superb food and changed our plans to dine there far more often than we had expected as it afforded great views, atmosphere as well as delicious local food and wine.

DELEZNABLE ACCESO
Nos fue muy complicado encontrar su ubicación, el camino de acceso es muy incomodo e inseguro y no esta iluminado en la noche. Las escaleras de acceso a la habitación muy incomodas y poco seguras, la pareja de amigos que nos acompañaba en otra habitación se resbalaron al bajar en la mañana y tuvieron sendas caídas de las que resultaron bastante dañados. No lo recomendamos. Nefasta relación precio - calidad.

Estimados invitados valiosos, En primer lugar, permítame darle las gracias por elegir nuestro pequeño hotel boutique este mes de marzo. Personalmente, mi personal y yo nos sentimos terribles con el pequeño accidente que tuvo durante el peor día del año con respecto al clima. Permítame recordarle que el día que se resbaló en las escaleras fue durante una tormenta con neblina y el suelo estaba extremadamente resbaladizo. En cuanto a la ubicación del hotel, traté de explicarles que es imposible para nosotros poner señales en todo el pueblo simplemente porque si cada hotel tuviera una señal, las carreteras estarían llenas de señales y nada más. Estoy seguro de que incluso en España los hoteles no tienen carteles en todas las calles. Más allá de eso, el camino en el que estamos es 100% seguro y no hay nada que temer. Nuestro hotel existe desde hace 19 años y aunque el acceso es bastante estrecho esta es una de nuestras ventajas ya que disfrutamos de tranquilidad incluso en los períodos más concurridos del verano. Probablemente el clima no ayudó durante su estadía ya que tuvimos dos de los días más fríos del año con temperaturas por debajo de los 7 grados (1ra vez en los últimos 50 años) y todo fue más difícil. This hotel is just perfect ! The owner is really kind and welcoming. He shared with us nice restaurant and nice area to visit. The room was perfect, clean and nice, the view was amazing. I recommend to take the room with jaccuzzi. We felt like we are in dream. The breakfast was also amazing, I recommend it too ! All the staffs are really nice and kind. If you want to trip in Crete and have a really nice place to stay, I recommend for sure this hotel ! This hotel was one of the best that I experimented in my life.
