'Lovely remote lodge in beautiful area. The room is small, but well appointed. You will lose cell seevice on the gorgeous Gunflint Trail, so make sure you have saved your check in instructions beforehand. Note that many lodges on the trail have restaurants, but not this one, so bring food with you before you arrive. They are last on the trail except a campground, so once you’re here, you’ll need to have everything. I came thinking I might get to see the Milky Way since it’s so remote, but there...

'Mona has thought of everything! Even a night light in the bathroom which we always forget to bring. We loved staying here. Very cozy and convenient to the SHT and Grand Marais. It is right on the water and so peaceful. You can listen to the waves at night. Loved the fire ring, the porch out front. The beds are so comfortable. Everything was great!'
