'Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. '

Prachtige karakteristieke locatie in een traditioneel dorp, met naar het noorden zicht op Heraklion en de zee (20 minuten per auto), en naar de andere richtingen berglandschap met mogelijkheden voor mooie en interessante wandelingen.'

'Very good hotel. Having kitchen with a fridge is a great advantage if you stay for more than three nights. It’s a bit far from touristic places which is not necessarily good or bad but great thing is that there’s a bus stop nearby with a free rode to the city center. The beach is 10-15 minutes to walk. Administrators are the nicest people who were there to navigate us in our first days on Crete.'

'On a quick visit to Crete we stayed here and enjoyed the property. The hotel and rooms were spotless. Breakfast has good warm and cold options with fresh fruit and cafe quality coffee options. Its located very close to the city center of Heraklion, very easy walking to shopping and dining options. The view from our balcony was not great, but we were doing more exploring than sitting in the room. The neighborhood might appear to have some run down areas, but it felt really safe. 'The room was spacious, featuring high-quality amenities and a well-designed interior. However, there were a few drawbacks. The shower tended to leak water outside, though this can be mitigated with careful use. Additionally, while the breakfast offerings were fresh, the variety was limited and could be improved. On a positive note, the coffee was excellent. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.'
