'When you first arrive there's signs everywhere "No smoking on property", but the first thing you notice when you walk in is the smell of cigarettes 😒. We had to use a phone at reception to call for someone to check us in😒. The first room provided was disgustingly stinky like fish. The second room was basic, barely looked clean. Why is this place $175 a night or even 3 Stars. DON'T DO IT. The only thing I will say when we went to change the room the receptionist was nice. No one was there for...

'The main issue was that Expedia confirmed our reservation but the hotel did not have the reservation. They did not have any rooms available, except one, as they were under construction. That room smelled like smoke. This is the first time we have had an issue with the Expedia reservation not going through to the hotel.'

'We were on the road for nearly two weeks and this was the nicest place we stayed. Another guest hit a button they thought would shutdown the fire pit on the patio, but it activated the fire alarm for the building. It woke us up and we had to evacuate. The fire department responded and cleared the code so we could return in a reasonable time. The room was great as was the breakfast. I highly recommend this facility.'

'Stayed one night at the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel while in town for my daughter's lacrosse tournament, and overall had a very good experience. The hotel itself is beautiful and full of character, as it's housed in the historic former Masonic Temple. The architecture and common areas really stand out and give the property a unique feel. 'Room was expensive. Air conditioner ran all night and was extremely loud and disruptive. There was some kind of strobe on the ceiling (smoke or co alarm) that was super bright. You get coffee in the morning. The only positive was the guys in valet parking who were helpful! Never again, aloft'

'The inside and outside of the motel looked like you stayed in a very luxe resort, but for a reasonable price. We asked for a smokers room, but we wondered if it really was a smokers room because it smelled very fresh. Very comfy beds and clean, nice blankets. It was great. The only thing that could be upgraded are the towels. They are really tiny. We would stay here again. '

'The room was super clean, stylish, but somewhat austere. The bed was fantastic, and my back was happy for the couple days I visited. Translucent privacy curtains would be a nice addition instead of just the blackout blinds. Young man at desk seemed bothered to have to do my check in, and mumbled quietly through the whole interaction. Overall, I’d stay again.'
