Absolutely appalling and heartless customer service.
I booked accommodation and called back within approximately 20 minutes of making the booking to explain that my father had suffered a heart attack the day before. I wasn’t demanding a refund—I simply asked whether the booking could be moved to a later date due to a genuine medical emergency.
The answer was an immediate and blunt no, with no attempt at empathy, flexibility, or basic human decency. What followed was even worse: after the initial refusal, my calls were blocked, including when calling from other numbers. This is not a misunderstanding—this was a deliberate refusal to engage.
I have recordings of the phone calls, which show how dismissive and rude the interaction was. There was no effort to explain policies properly, no escalation, no manager offered—just a wall put up and communication shut down.
Hotels deal with unexpected emergencies every day. Most show at least a minimal level of compassion. This property showed none.
If you value customer service, basic humanity, or even just being treated with respect during a family medical emergency, avoid this place entirely. I will be pursuing this matter further through the appropriate consumer channels
