This home is so very cozy and tastefully decorated. Everything is labeled as to what is in drawers and cupboards, etc. Sara is one of the nicest and most accommodating hosts we have experienced. We highly recommend this property.

A magical property to enjoy some peace and quiet on coast of Maine. The house is beautifully situated with easy access to the dock, water views from the wrap around porch, and a cozy well- appointed indoor space. We loved picking up oysters from Eros and shucking them at the house after a day at Popham. Sara is a very thoughtful host and hasn’t overlooked a single detail. Our dogs loved using the guest dog tags, beds, and toy basket. If you’re looking for an authentic Maine getaway, staying at the Wiggleswick is a must!

All we can say is "wow"!

This was undoubtedly one of the best properties we've booked. Spotlessly clean - you honestly wouldn't know it was a dog-friendly place unless you read the listing. Folks that aren't even traveling with their 4 legged friend would still be pleased!! The communication and emails leading up to our trip with Sara , the host, was far and above the best experience we've had - she had provided ideas for dog-friendly places to visit , eat etc., and all were perfect - as well as a digital guidebook with answers to every possible question you may come up with during your stay. She truly has gone above and beyond with the property so that her guests (and their 4 legged friends) have the most magical get-away. The cabin is super cute and spacious. 2 huge bathrooms, good sized bedrooms, clean and well-equipped kitchen (wither everything labeled), beautiful wrap around deck and expansive yard (there's even a dog agility course!). The little trail down to the dock/water was well maintained and lit and not too far from the house. The Dock was brand new and the view from it was 10/10. We didn't use the grill but there was a charcoal grill and outside table perfect for a BBQ. Comfy beds (humans and dogs too ) in each room. Fans in each room and great breeze thru the downstairs at night. Plenty of towels/toilet paper etc. Saw lots of deer in the yard / on the road to the cabin. We really wish Wiggleswick was our own!! Thank you to Sara, who should be awarded the best VRBO host. 11/10 stars!

Beyond Expectations

Our family had a perfect stay at this beautiful Maine home. We enjoyed playing games, going shopping at Freeport, eating dinner at The Osprey, playing badminton, and just enjoying sitting outside listening to the birds and the ocean. Could not have asked for anything more.

Perfect Maine Coast Escape

Beautiful home on Maine sea coast. Warm cabin feel with amazing attention to detail - the host truly thought of everything for both humans and pets. Short 20 minute drive to historic downtown Bath was also a plus.

What we all needed

We love our yearly October trips to Maine but we all needed a vacation more than other years. We are so grateful to come across this location. The owner was immediately responsive before and while we were there to any questions. This place checks all of the boxes and the owner thinks of things that I would have never thought of. My family, friend, and dogs truly felt at home. My dogs were extra spoiled by their goodie bag. We didn’t even have to think out what was in each of the kitchen cabinets or what light switch turned on what because everything was labeled in such a thoughtful way. It had ever toy or relaxation item that any human or dog would need. Can’t thank you enough.

What a beautiful property to kick back and relax!! Extremely cozy, you felt right at home. Sara is an impeccable host, from having the lights and music playing while entering the house to the doggy goody bag for our pups with some baked goods for the humans too!!

Loved the cottage and attention to detail

We all had a wonderful time at the cottage! The owner added many extra touches to welcome us and the dog. Everything was clean and well stocked. We were there for a wedding and spent a lot of time just relaxing on the deck enjoying family time together. Little disappointed that the dock was already up for the season but understandable due to weather issues. That just makes us want to come back earlier in the season to enjoy the water more! Thank you for the great memories!

Staying at Wiggleswick Cottage was a Maine dream! The location, home, dock, yard…everything was PERFECT! And Sara goes above and beyond with her extras and personal touches. We were greeted with a wooden sign displaying our family name! Then opened the fridge to a beautiful charcuterie tray for snacks! In addition, Sara had a lobster keychain, and personal card to welcome us. Her communication throughout the process of booking and staying was top notch! She is so attentive and helpful. Probably the most helpful host we’ve ever encountered. Any little question I had, she would respond within minutes. In addition, she gave us so many great ideas for exploring the area, from a blueberry farm to pick our own berries, to a great grocery store with gluten free items, to a fantastic river cruise with River Run Tours! The dock and yard make for a magical stay. Our family played yard games, used the kayaks, and loved sitting down on Belvedere (the dock) to watch the boats go by. A truly magical vacation, and we hope to come back to Maine and Wiggleswick Cottage soon!

Perfect Getaway - 10+

I would give Sara 10++ Stars for being an excellent host and the property was enchanting from the moment we saw it! The meticulous attention to details, from the welcoming book/treats for our dog Cody, a charcuterie board perfect for our glass of wine and sunset watching when we arrived to the most beautiful decor inside and out. It was difficult to decide if we should just rest and relax or explore the beauty the local town has to offer. Most of all I loved our morning coffee on the porch and our sunsets on down by the water. There was attention to detail in every room of the home, dog bed out, blankets, a guidebook and flowers all along the deck. It was one of the most relaxing and re-energizing long weekends we've had. We unplugged and enjoyed all the property had to offer. She has so many outdoor games, the firepit and the stunning fireplace inside. She kept in touch and make sure we had everything we needed. My only problem was we didn't want to leave this beautiful home and property. Definitely recommend this and home to come again! Barb, Reed and Cody

Truly a 5-Star Property & Experience

It is hard to know where to start when reviewing this property and expressing our gratitude for our hostess because everything aspect of the cottage and our stay was truly 5-Star++! When I booked our family getaway, it had to be special because this would be the last time (for a while) all of us would be together as our kids turn into young adults and move on with their schooling and careers. I felt I was paying a premium for Wiggleswick Cottage (because we have stayed on Georgetown Island in other rentals over the years for less money) but no other stay compares. It was worth EVERY penny and more. Seriously, I would have paid more!! If you have stayed at a five-diamond resort, you will know what I mean. The difference can be felt in every single touch and appointment in the home. Sara's attention to detail, thoughtfulness, safety, quality, communication, and hospitality is beyond compare. The home flows so well. The location and view from the home are fantastic. Quiet, peaceful, and full of great energy. The waterfront is stunning. The sunrises and sunsets from the amazing porch and huge yard were gorgeous. The furnishings, linens, homewares, etc. are high-end. The stay was authentic Maine, comfortable, cozy, yet current, fresh, and well-equipped. The only surprises were incredible, fun, and inspiring ones. From the stunning fireplace to the gorgeous windows flowing with light, to the spare phone chargers to the dryer sheets, and everything in between, Sara (the owner) has thought of everything. She is a world-class "homemaker" which made us feel right at home. I have a dog, but she could not join us for our trip. I wondered if it would smell like other dogs or if I would find fur from prior guests. I can honestly say I would never know Sara allowed for dogs if it were not for the amazing equipment and accessories she had for her dog guests! I have thought back on other stays we've had in Maine and beyond and how they have paled in comparison. It's so nice in this day and age to not only get what you paid for but to feel like you received an incredible value and true benefit. That's how I feel!! Sara and Wiggleswick Cottage set the standard, the GOLD standard, for vacation rentals. We are grateful for our time there :-)

Wonderful cabin

We came to Georgetown for a family emergency and this cabin was just what we needed. We were able to recharge and relax. Sara went above and beyond to get us in and even left us a sweet card and treats. Lots of little touches all over the house. Highly recommend

We were blown away from the second we created the hill to the property. Sara goes above and beyond to give her guests a fun and memorable experience. Yard games, a beautiful lawn, a very well kept home, welcome gifts for us and our two dogs. She answered questions quickly. We couldn't be more happy with the vacation we had at Wiggleswick!

Authentic Maine Seacoast Vacation

Our family of 5 (all adults) loved our stay at Wiggleswick Cottage with it’s open comfortable layout. It was super clean and Sara has thought of everything! We loved that it is very close to the harbor at Five Islands, but not in the village itself. Reid State Park is within a 10 minute drive and we spent time at each of the three beautiful beaches. Our group was interested in hiking and Sara provided lots of information about the many trails on the island! She’s a very receptive host and responds very quickly to any questions. She even brought over a charcoal grill since we were inexperienced with the gas grill. Belvedere (the dock) was a huge highlight and we kayaked from there several times. So many places to explore. We highly recommend Wiggleswick!

Much needed weekend away!

My husband and I really needed a few days away to just relax and decompress. We found Wiggleswick Cottage and thought it looked amazing. I have to say the pictures are great, but this home is much better in person. It is so cozy and inviting. We felt at home right away, Our two dogs settled in right away too, The host, Sara, was fantastic. Her attention to detail was out of this world. She was such a thoughtful host. She left a gift bag with goodies for our dogs, Moose and Harley! She also left goodies in the fridge for my husband and I which worked out amazing since we checked in late. Everything in the house has cute i.d. tags so you can easily find things. She provides her guests with so many extras around the house. It was so easy having the dogs there. She has blankets for them to relax on, runners (leash) outside and toys for them to enjoy. Best of all was the incredible fireplace. We lit a fire each night and sat and enjoyed a glass of wine. It was so cozy. The walk down to the ocean is a lot of fun and the view was stunning. There is nothing like the Maine Coast. We can't wait to come back. Thanks Sara!

Winter wonderland

Ten stars for Wiggleswick’s Cottage and our time in Maine. The host was communicative and the house was immaculate. The property is lovely and the house amenities are top notch. I highly recommend this home for families with dogs. And I’m sure it is just as good in the summer as it is in the winter. We definitely want to return!
