Savage Sands is located on half an acre of one of the top ranked beaches in the world, Tar Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas. This oceanfront paradise offers a 4000 square foot home that comfortably sleeps 10 in four spacious bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. When you arrive, you will be greeted by swaying palm trees and brightly colored bougainvillea. The view as you walk in the front door will take your breath away. You will see a completely open floor plan from the kitchen to the living room/dining room framed by a half moon shape of floor to ceiling windows giving you a 180 degree view of the spectacular Exuma blue water that awaits you just steps away. As you walk out onto the deck you can relax on the lounge chairs and take in the beauty in front of you that is Tar Bay. You can walk for miles in the soft, powder white sand, relax in the large new infinity pool, play volleyball or choose to explore the gorgeous turquoise ocean via paddle boards, 1 double kayak, 2 single kayaks, inner tubes, masks and fins all provided for your enjoyment during your stay. You will never want to leave your new Bahamian home away from home! Security cameras are located on the exterior perimeter for safety and security purposes only. Absolutely no pets and no smoking or vaping on the property!

Our week at Savage Sands was amazing! The house is impecably kept and has everything you need for your stay in Exuma (tons of beach and pool toys for the family!) The views are incredible, the beach is clean and calm to relax or be in the ocean all day. We loved hanging out in the infinity pool. The inside of the house is beautiful, very airy and bright, very pleasant to lie ge indoors and look at the views. Only thing I wished was an outdoor dinning area in the back with views to the ocean, but you still have a BBQ and table located in the front.My kids loved hunting for crabs at night and finding hermit crabs along the deck!Stephanie and Andrew replied to my inquiries very quickly and had all the information you may need to make bookings and restaurant reservations (a must!) Shawn, the house manager, was very polite and helpful as well. Overall, would highly recommend a stay at this incredible property!

Look No Further

If there is a nicer place to stay on Exhuma, I don’t know what it could possibly be. The house is absolutely spectacular, no detail has been overlooked. The pool is fantastic and is right on a beautiful white-sand beach. Our family spent time on paddle boards and kayaks and spent nights on the Wii and many indoor games. The owners have provided cornhole, spike ball, and all kinds of amenities to ensure a delightful family vacation. They are responsive and offer detailed suggestions to make your stay spectacular. It is without hesitation that we recommend Savage Sands and can’t wait for our next trip back.

The home was immaculate, beautiful views, easy access to great beach. Plenty of spices for cooking. Plenty of room, only drawback was lots of stairs for elderly visitors to navigate. Would recommend highly.

Above all expectations

Savage sands is an amazing beach house. From the stunning views of the ocean to the intriguing architecture, the house offers everything one would need. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The house was well equipped with everything from kitchen amenities to laundry detergent. The house was impeccably clean upon arrival. The beach was steps away and we enjoyed multiple sunrises and sunset walks. The heated pool was a plus on some overcast cooler days. Location was ideal, 10 mins away from the airport and Georgetown. Wi-Fi worked perfectly and we had no issues. I would never think of staying anywhere else if we return to Exuma.

Amazing home on Tar Bay !! Everything was perfect. We were greeted at the airport with a short drive to the home . From the view of the ocean water and the beautiful pool and amazing home . Perfect Stay in Paradise

My family (two adults and and two teenagers) stayed here in July 2024 to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. I could never put into words how perfect our stay at Savage Sands was. The property is breathtaking and even more beautiful than the pictures. The location is perfect, right around the middle of the island. The home is so thoughtfully furnished and stocked--the Savages have thought of everything to make their guests' stay comfortable. Shawn, the property manager, was super friendly and there when we needed him. Stephanie was a great communicator and sincerely seemed excited for our stay -- by the end, I felt like we were staying at the home of friends, which made it even more special. I recommend Savage Sands without hesitation--you will not regret it!

Exuma Visit

Our family of five (two adults, three kids 16, 13, 8) just returned from Exuma and stayed at Savage Sands. We all agreed it was the best vacation we have ever taken and the house was the main reason why. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out, fun pool, volleyball court, outdoor seating everywhere, speakers, and of course a beautiful beach right out the back door. Stephanie was a big help leading up to the trip (and during) answering our many questions and Shawn was very helpful meeting us at the airport and answering questions throughout our stay. When we were on the island, we drove from one end to the other and we all determined the location of Savage Sands was perfect and couldn’t imagine staying in any other location. It was close to airport, grocery, Georgetown, and equal distance from both ends of the island. It was also on very well paved portion of the road. We appreciate our trip to this house and think everyone else considering staying here should as well. It’s not often a house makes such a big impact on a vacation, but this one absolutely did.

The moment you open the door to this beautiful property you will know you made the right decision by booking this property. The views are amazing and we really enjoyed the sunrises. It is a great place for a family vacation, and has something to keep all ages entertained when you are in the house. The Savages have thought of every possible amenity to make your stay comfortable. We also liked the location of this property because it was just a short drive to the airport and grocery stores. The Savages are great to work with, every question we had was promptly answered. We are truly grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy such a beautiful place. It was part of the total island experience that our family labeled as magical.

Absolutely Amazing

Once we arrived at Savage Sands we were mesmerized by the beauty of the house and property. It supersedes the photos in the listing by far! Where do I start? The house itself - perfectly appointed. The staff - amazing, attentive, great communication. The host - beyond helpful and communicative. The house is fully stocked with everything you could need for a perfect vacation: clean towels, linens, cutlery, glasses, keurig, games, cooler, flatware, beach toys, surfboards etc. The host obviously thought of each and every thing a guest would need. The view - SPECTACULAR.

LOVE Savage Sands!!! Beautiful House and Beach!

Stephanie and her team were probably the best hosts we have ever had through VRBO. Always had great suggestions and very quick to reply. The home has the most amazing views and is very well stocked! Pool floats, SUP, kayaks, lounge chairs, blender, insulated cups...everything you need inside and out! Great location on Tar Bay and centrally located for an easy drive south or north. Paradise at Savage Sands

Savage Sands is an amazingly gorgeous, well maintained and well situated residence. The house is modern and well stocked. The pool is beautiful and pool/beach toys plentiful. The house was large enough to accommodate the 8 adults in our group. The host and property manager were very communicative and all our questions and needs were met with quick responses. But nothing bets the view! Incredible ocean and sandy beach. I would definitely stay at Savage Sands again.

They thought of every detail!

My family and I just returned home from our 5 night stay at Savage Sands. The property is beautiful; the Savages really did think of every detail with this house. The kitchen is equipt with everything you need; it was a nice perk to also have a spice cabinet stocked with items we didn't order in advance. The location is ideal; the stretch of beach the home is located on is perfect. The infinity pool is perfect! I HIGHLY reccomend this home for your family. It was also a nice perk having the front closet equipt with extra sunscreen, a first aid kit, etc. The upstairs included some fun board games and puzzles. Bedrooms are really nice with comfirtable beds and bathrooms well appointed. The house is about 10 minutes from town where the grocery store and flea market are. This was our forst trip to Exuma; some suggestions: there are decent restaurants but have a plan for dinner and preferably a reservation. I also suggest pre-ordering groceries from Exuma Market; it makes things much easier upon arrival. I can't say enough good things about the house. It was only 5-10 minutes from the airport. Communication with the owner was excellent; Stephanie provided me with all the info I needed and Shawn (property manager) was very nice and showed my family around the home upon arrival.

Perfect Get Away

We had a great time staying here with our family. It is just what we needed to recharge! We have a few hiccup but nothing that Shawn and the rest of the crew didn't address right away! Our boys loved the pool and it's so nice to be right on the beach! We have stayed and quite a few vrbo's and I have to say that this one was stocked the best! The kitchen had everything we needed and lots of options. We brought our own cooler of meats with us so we cooked at the house a lot and everything worked great! Would definitely stay here again if we decide to come back to George Town!

Exuma heaven

We planned this as our summer vacation with family. From the start when we booked the place till we left, everything went so smooth. Listing is way better than what it looks on line. Stephanie is amazing and very responsive. Shawn picked us up at airport and oriented us to everything. Our stay was amazing. Beautiful place and view and so quiet and relaxing. Can’t say enough.
