Anakie Gorge Getaway Tiny House 1 is a charming pet-friendly retreat in the Staughton Vale, Australia. Just 1 hour and 20 minutes from Melbourne, our holiday homes offer a peaceful hideaway with access to amazing views and wildlife.
Enjoy a range of outdoor activities just a stone’s throw away, including Brisbane Ranges National Park, the Anakie Gorge Walk, and the Staughton Vale Cliff Face. Nearby attractions also include Werribee Gorge State Park, You Yangs Regional Park, Stony Creek Reservoir, and Steiglitz Historic Park—perfect for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike.
A cozy 157-square tiny home with all the modern amenities of home, with a kitchenette and cooking tools, including cutlery, and a portable electric cooler fridge. These amenities include a cassette toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that this tiny house is an off-grid unit powered by solar energy. To avoid power outages, conserve energy during the day and use it only when necessary.
Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny home and its surrounding areas, except for the land host's private residence.
ADVISORY:
- Please keep the 'driveway' and farm gate area accessible.
- Please avoid parties or loud behaviour that could disturb neighbours or other campers.
- Please be advised that nearby farms may occasionally create tractor or other agricultural noise.
- Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Brisbane Ranges National Park, Anakie Gorge Picnic Area and walking tracks.
- We happily welcome young children. Please note the bed is in a loft accessed by a ladder (no safety gate), and guests will need to bring their own porta-cot and cot bedding.

- From Melbourne, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, or 82km.
From Geelong, approximately 30 minutes, 36km.
- It is reachable by 2WD and 4WD.
By public transport:
- It is not feasible to get to our property via public transport.
Other Things to Note:
- Potable water is free.
- Mobile reception is bad.
- Child-friendly accommodation
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors allowed.
- General waste and recyling bins are provided to dispose of trash properly
- Given the rural setting, children are welcome under CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION.
- Pets are allowed with 24 hours' notice, and must be on leash at all times. The full policy will be sent before arrival.
- Please stay informed about any current flood, fire, or other hazards by checking Victoria Emergency or ABC Emergency websites.
Off-grid guidelines
- Save energy to avoid power outage
- Bring portable power banks in case of low power
- Please take note that outdoor fire pits are not available during the fire season
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
Important Note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is located in bushland (or grassland) areas.
- The fireplace, fire pit, and firewood are not available at this time due to fire restrictions.
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the compost toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
