  • The Wild Winds is het hele jaar door een paradijs voor natuurliefhebbers. We bieden vele paden om te wandelen en / of fietsen. Geniet van vissen, varen en ontspannen op het meer en het strand, op slechts een steenworp afstand van uw rustieke hut. Of breng tijd door in onze privévijver (eigenlijk een klein meer) genesteld in het bos, waar we een dok hebben geïnstalleerd voor diep water zwemmen en kanoën. Of voor een beetje meer opwinding is de Wild Winds slechts 7-8 mijl van golfen, winkels, restaurants en andere sportieve meren van wereldklasse. Als je graag korte dagtochten maakt, kun je naar Petoskey gaan om het prachtige Lake Michigan te zien, of je dag doorbrengen op Mackinac Island.

    Dit blokhut, "Junior Cabin", heeft 3 slaapkamers voor 8-10 personen, en het heeft een open haard!

    Of overweeg onze andere vakantiewoning in de Wild Winds: "Honeymoon Cabin" heeft 4 slaapkamers en 8-9 slaapplaatsen (zie HomeAway. Com # 298533).

    De blokhutten liggen direct aan het meer van Wequas en ons prachtige privémeer ligt op slechts een korte wandeling door het bos.

    Beide huizen zijn uitgerust met satelliet-tv, wasmachine, droger, complete keuken en 1 badkamer. De prijs is hetzelfde voor beide loghomes: het basistarief is $ 645 / week of $ 125 / nacht en prime-datums zijn $ 780 / week of $ 160 / nacht. In juli en augustus verhuren we per week (zaterdag tot zaterdag). Er zijn $ 60 schoonmaakkosten en goed opgevoede honden zijn toegestaan voor een kleine extra vergoeding.

    Vooruitkijken naar andere seizoenen? The Wild Winds is een winterwonderland! Sneeuwscooterpaden beginnen bovenaan onze oprit. Langlaufen op onze 60 hectare eigen paden, of bezoek geprepareerde provinciale paden slechts een paar mijl verderop. Skiën bergafwaarts cursussen zoals Treetops of Boyne Mountain, elk slechts ongeveer een half uur rijden. Of geniet gewoon van de ongerepte schoonheid van onze hectaren dennenbos in hun winterglazuur!

    Hier is ruimte om een trailer te parkeren.

Charming cabin right by the lake! We took the boats out, sat by the fire at night, played board games and enjoyed some hikes around Gaylord. The property had all we needed to prepare meals. The host was extremely accommodating, quick to reply and even helpful to mail us an item we forgot at the house.

Rokko (my host) was amazing and very flexible to work with. He communicated well and answered all of my questions. I loved the fact that the place is pet friendly and I cant wait to visit more. Definitely recommend. Excellent customer service!!

We had an absolutely amazing stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway! The cabin was spotless when we arrived, and the beds were so comfortable that everyone slept great. One of my favorite things was they had a rocking chair and I got to enjoy the view while rocking my youngest and saying "we truly needed this".The location was perfect. The private lake behind the cabin was one of our favorite parts of the trip. The fishing was incredible—we caught some of the biggest fish we've ever caught! There are also miles of nearby trails to explore, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors.If you're expecting a cabin that's completely isolated, just know there are two other homes nearby—but they're the owners' homes. They are incredibly respectful of your privacy and never bothered us. We still felt like we had our own private retreat, while knowing help was close by if we needed anything. It was the best of both worlds.The cabin is also in a fantastic location for day trips. We visited Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls, the Mackinac Bridge, and Castle Rock, all within about an hour to an hour and a half . Gaylord is also close by and has plenty of great restaurants, so there was always something fun to do.When we asked our kids to rate the vacation, every one of them gave it a 10 out of 10! It was the perfect place to reconnect as a family, get outside, unplug from electronics, and make memories we'll always cherish. We can't wait to come back!

We stayed there for 2 nights. The back room had many mini holes in the ceiling. The room was cold;Kids found spiders on bed; mice poop in the drawers; kitchen was so unorganized. There were limited areas for dogs going out potty.

It was quiet for the most part and off the beaten path. All the appliances worked, except the coffee maker took a long time to brew.Our main concern was the complete lack of working smoke detectors, loose electrical outlets, and the general maintenance of the cabin. We weren't staying in the winter, but I don't think we would have felt safe using the fireplace. There was soot up the front and on the ceiling. Also, there was previous water damage apparent on the ceiling in the living room and big felt sheets covering the ceiling in the sun room off the deck.Although it was advertised as having use of boats, a fire pit, and lake access, that was not exactly the case. There is no beach area. The fire ring was rusted out. There was mention of a boat we could use if we wanted, but we would have to venture onto the back of a relative's property to retrieve it. Nothing was said about any life vests. The owners were friendly and kind to us. Just know what you are signing up for.

Quite and Peaceful

Perfect stay at a great cabin. Nights were quiet and peaceful. Lake view off the back porch was relaxing. Rocco and TJ were perfect hosts Look forward to our next stay.

Fishing was decent given the weather we had(very windy). Great vibes all around, cabin was nice and spacious, Rokkos brother TJ was a great guy and a big help with any questions.

Great secluded getaway

Went snowmobiling for a long weekend. Hosts were great people to deal with. Super close access to trails. If you love the woodsy, outdoors - you'll love this. Overall really good experience!

Relaxing!

Great location. We spent a fun week at this lakeside cabin. We enjoyed the water, the fishing, and the trails. The owner and his family were very nice. The cabin did have a lot of spiders, which our girls didn't like.
