House was great especially when traveling with children! We let the kids (ages 8-22) have the bottom floor and adults slept on the top floor. House had all the essentials! We rented a golf cart (ricks beach rentals) to go back and forth to the beach which was less than a 5 minute drive! Great area!

Stay was great for us. Only have a few things I would like to say about it. Ceiling fans cannot be used at night because the lights are connected to on switch. When lights turn off, the fans turn off. Although it is 4 bedrooms, it’s a little cramped, in case you want space. When you are upstairs, you can hear everything going on downstairs. There is a staircase inside the house that goes to bottoms floor, but it is very narrow with steep stairs. And the 2 bedrooms downstairs are right next to each other, so not a lot of privacy. It worked out great for our family, none of us really had any problems, and communication was great with the management. Only wished the fans would have worked while we were sleeping.

The only issues we had was no grill but it was resolved over night. The bedroom up stairs next to the master has really loud wind noise when the door is closed that can be heard in both the bedroom and living room. A simple vent in the door would resolve that issue. It’s the a/c fan pressure making the noise.

JAMAICAN BEACH HOUSE

The house was not accuratly depicted as the pictures showed online. It looked online like a 4 bedroom, but it was actually 3 bedroom. With no privacy. Two of the rooms were joined with only 1 entrance. The home was not clean. There we r beer cans by the pool, debris in the pool and trash in the yard. The pool was actually only a 2 ft tall kid pool that looked like a horse trough. The dishes were dirty. It was not the quality I would expect for the money that I paid.

Pool pump didn't work and water was disgusting..other than it was a great rental. Beautiful house along with everything needed just minutes from the beach..had a blast thank you to our wonderful host!!! Would reccomnd to anyone

“Our Gathering Place”

This sign is displayed in the living room and encompasses the vibe of this beach house. There is ample room to entertain 2 parental units upstairs; with a nice kitchen to cook and huge wooden table, to converse, while the kids enjoy their own private space downstairs; with 2 bedrooms & enough beds for all of them. A cute, secret spiral staircase will connect them to mom & the food upstairs. The backyard is fenced in for safety & the wrap around deck will give the parents plenty of eyes on the kids, as they frolic in the cowboy pool, after going to Jamaica Beach, which is less than a 1/2 mile away. I came for just a visit, but next time I’ll stay to play!

I would say the only thing negative that we can think about the house is that spiral cell case is way too small for everybody in our group except for the two smallest people the swimming pool is not heated so we couldn't use it which was very disappointing we wanted to do midnight soaps together and then for kitchen utensils there's a lack of quality spatulas and other serving devices but overall the entire house served our needs we are very happy with it it was a very good stay

Great Stay for our College Ministry Fall Retreat

Don’t rent from beach box

Absolutely horrible to deal with, our stay was affected by hurricane Beryl, unable to even make it to the house due to flooding and no power in the entire city. This company flat out refuses to refund. This happened to all customers who rented during that time. They refused all refunds only offered to move date to the next week. Very rude customer service and no one in the US can you speak with.

Too many problems

Upon arrival we noticed trash left on deck flooring and furniture. I would think the cleaning service should cover exterior area. The spiral staircase is a hazard for small children and anyone with a slight disability. You’ll have to use the outside staircase to move between first and second floor so hopefully you don’t have rain if that’s the case. Downstairs twin bunk bed was missing bottom mattress and there was what appeared to be feces smeared on the door casing. Not sure how cleaning service missed that! It was disgusting. The mattress wasn’t replaced until day 2 nor did they send anyone to clean a possible health hazard until second day of our stay! The sofa cushions were ripped and you could feel all the springs. It needs to be replaced. We had to request both tv remotes be replaced as well. The pool is a glorified kiddie pool which is fine for the little kids. Ours enjoyed it but the pump was not working so the water was dirty and cloudy after one use. We had to call for someone to come look at that too. The lady I spoke to tried to tell me the water was due to storms. The neighbors’ pools were crystal clear so I didn’t buy her excuse. The house is much smaller that it appears to be in the photos. Only one “bedroom” has a closet so there is no where to store your belongings except on the floor. Communication with rental company was not the best. I had to text them photos of all the problems in order to have them addressed. They offered nothing for our troubles!

The location is good, easy access to the beach and a quiet neighborhood. The AC worked well, no bugs inside, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and even a waffle iron. There was a food covered high chair when we got there, no hand soap in any of the bathrooms, and the oven had been sprayed with cleaner but not cleaned off so it burned off when we used the oven that night and we had to open doors to air out the house. There were lots of bath towels but no place to hang them so we had to wash and dry them after each use. The sheets really need to be replaced because they had old stains and tears and the couch cushions were falling apart and you could feel the springs underneath. These things I'd understand if it was an individual's home they were renting but this is a vacation rental company house and really needs some updating.

Nice Quiet House

It was a nice place to stay with lots of bedrooms. There were some things that needed to be updated or fixed and it was missing some items in the kitchen that would have made it more convenient to cook meals. But it fit our extended family of 13 well. It was close to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to several stores/restaurants.

Lovely and beautiful

We loved our stay and the house was beautiful. Finding out there was a personal pool was a plus just too cold to get in. The only thing is wish there were more frying pans that were larger and a couple of cookie sheets. There is a step down from the dining room to the living room. It needs to be lighted or reflective tape because I tripped once on it but I am okay. Thank you for the lovely stay and we will consider staying here again. Loved everything about it!!

Very roomy, close to beach

The location of the rental was convenient, particularly in relation to the beach. It was clean & well maintained; comfy and cozy. The only improvement I could suggest is to highlight the single steps. Those were hazardous for my guests. Make them very visible to guests. Thankfully one guest who tripped on the uppermost level single step fell toward a dining chair and did not get injured.

Lovely Stay

My family enjoyed our mini vacation getaway here at this beautiful clean home. Beach access was literally across the street and we had a good time celebrating my son's 14th birthday. Russell was a very kind host and made sure our needs were met at all times. He's very responsive to my messages which is a super plus for me. :-)Thank you for having us as guests in your lovely home and we'll be back that's for sure! Great stay!!

This stay was wonderful stay but with the older guest it was hard for some to get in the bunk beds but we made it work...the setup is for about 6 adults and the rest kids and teenagers...but gun was had by all!!!
